For anyone that has started remote basics, what is the day to day schedule like? I’m not sure what to expect
The day is mostly spent going over lessons with the instructor and doing online work. They give plenty of breaks though. Generally at least one 10 min break each hour. Different instructors sometimes do things differently. One might go over a lesson and give you 3 hours of online/self-study and another might religiously go through the text and only give the 10 min hourly breaks. Just depends. Lunch break time generally varies day by day and can be combined with some online/self-study. All in all, expect to spend 8.5 hours a day doing what they tell you to do.

I'm now at the academy and I miss how easy and low-effort Basics was in comparison. You will get plenty of breaks (here as well, though) and only 1 test at the end that has a stress level attached to it - the other tests are just to check your knowledge along the way. Your actual time in class will vary based on your class timezones. I'm from the southwest so my time was 7-330 every weekday.

If you want more details, look in my post history, I went over it right when I completed it.

So I was told I should expect a ballpark class date around December or January (cleared around 4/1). I am torn because since the process has been so long at that time I will only have one semester left on my degree (Biology with chem and biochem minor). Do they ever push back class dates 6 months so you can finish your last semester? Will I lose my spot on the list? Any insight or advice is welcome. Also I am on the gi bill so I am getting paid while in school.

I know a few people who were able to push their class date back for school. Definitely worth a try

If you are mid semester you should be able to push your class date back. I was asked if I needed to be pushed back because of school when I was told to expect an August date back in May.

Fingers crossed they start calling people tommrow
I'm not getting my hopes up until next week. I'd love to be pleasantly surprised though.

"It looks like it could potentially be in the December time frame. I am not sure exactly when. As soon as we have a class for you we will be in contact." -CS yesterday at 6:26pm eastern

First reply I've gotten from CS since I cleared. I know the estimates people have received haven't really meant much, but it's nice to know they haven't forgotten me.

Glad to hear she finally responded to you. I'm hoping her estimates are pretty accurate, I can't wait to be done with my current job. The pay is ok and my company treats me well, but I'm sick of the long days and just want to move on with my life.
