So a facility that's one CPC away from releasing where you can rent a 4 bedroom house for under 2k/month? Idk, man. Grass is always greener I guess, but I think it's fair to say that all 15 controllers there have a better shot of getting out than any of the 159 CPCs in Oakland paying 4k/month for a 2BR apartment.
Honestly.... I'd rather make 80k a year in flyover country than 150k a year in Oakland from a cost of living standpoint.

That was the case, luckily a lot of those facilities were consolidated, or the assholes who trained that way retired and are telling their level 5 war stories at the local American Legion now.
Yeah it’s more like 2yrs then waiting another 2yrs for new academy trainees because who knows how that process really works ?
I'm closer to 4 years at my facility than I am to 3 and I still haven't even had a class for downstairs yet.
You must not know where ZLA is my dude. It's in the desert outside LA usually about 1.5 drive.
ZLA has a 2.5 year average check out time, 150k in Palmdale is pretty smooth riding.

Im pretty convinced any of the mid level facilities in moderately sized and priced cities (or a center that's in a place like that) is a better standard of living than a core 30 in a big city.
Sounds a hell of a lot better than any of those low level Louisiana towers.
It's not a terrible area. It's more of the "it doesn't have stuff that I want to do in my free time." Also it's ungodly hot.
