Hiring Bid FAA-ATO-20-ALLSRCE-65607

Reached out to medical today and got back that the Flight Surgeon reviewed my medical and found me medically cleared, and they are just waiting on his signature on the form to send to my HR rep. so they can move forward for a class date. Good to hear!

Maybe it has to do with where you live? I'm in Atlanta, so maybe there's just a lot more facilities available near me?
No idea how they do it but I was living in bumfuck nowhere and they found a little drug testing facility in a town of less than 7000 people far from any real city and had it scheduled within a couple of days.

I finally heard back from hr regarding my clearance status, the only thing I'm waiting on is for the flight surgeon to review my file. Unfortunately they couldn't tell me when the flight surgeon was going to get to my file
it really varies. I've seen a quick 1 week turn-around for medical clearances. mine was a little over a month.

Alright..... I'm really sweating myself here. I'm working on my pre-employment interview worksheet. I've had chronic asthma and eczema since I was a kid, and thus a handful of prescriptions for those. Random infections like bronchitis etc.... I've pulled as much medical record as I could find available to me but it's 690 pages total over the past 16 years or so. I have scoured our forums for similar questions and answers but I'm still feeling at a loss for my situation here. Anyone wanna share how thorough they were on their docs and whether or not they received clearance? I'm not trying to omit anything, but I'm really hoping to avoid laborious excess ?

Just answer the questions exactly as written. If the doctor wants more info they’ll ask you during the exam

I heard from a few of my co workers today that it is completely up to us to find housing and the FAA tells us nothing about this. Can someone post some sort of link about housing or enlighten me with some details? ISO somewhere I can live with my dogs and full furnished.

There are a few places that have no problem with pets, solo or with a roommate. Usually requires a fee, but nothing crazy.

The FAA doesn't honestly care where you stay when you are in OKC as long as they will accept the GSA's long-term per diem rate/payment method and meets the Housing Provider Criteria (linked). The agency doesn't recommend, vouch, or sponsor any particular provider.

There's never any specific housing for FAA, most in here seem to go with Kim's Place (houses) or Anatole (furnished apartments) which is closer to the academy. Theres a list of a lot more providers, including hotels for those that want to rack up the reward points.
