We had all the feeders and finals open so like 7 bodies side by side is ok but trainees must be 6’ spaced?

Quit trying to get rid of peoples home facilities. They’ll get there someday maybe.

Closing those facilities would fix nothing and if you think the gub’mint would handle it right and correct staffing you’re dumber than most center monitors.

The center monitors never go home. The towers close but we keep Moving planes.

My first facility had 70% of staffing never want to leave whether home town or they just liked where they are. What you see are the people who bitch because it’s the internet. Step out of your one facility view point once in a while.

Yah but I’m kidding. You seriously want to force many people to move to facilities they may not make it at (and many don’t want to move to) and then send them to Alaska FS if there are even openings. Just one downside among many to closing a bunch of facilities.

Closing all the 4-7 wouldn’t do that…. Take WA state for example. Aside from working SEA, S46, or ZSE you would close every facility except GEG (I think). Good job.

I can definitely get on board with better placement out of the academy even though a lot of those people will choose to move anyway. 100% against closing any facilities and I think it’s retarded for any union member to support reducing our options for places to work/retire. Staffing problems would not be fixed.

There’s people in fss working 2 on 2 off and making 6 figures and living in the lower 48. Not sure why it gets such a bad rep. There flat out shouldn’t be faa controllers getting paid so little. Just raise the minimum pay too. One way to get rid of level 4 is just make them level 6.

If this bullshit actually did anything to lower the number of COVID positives in a facility, then maybe there could be an argument for it. But in the several weeks we’ve been on a training hold, our facility’s case count has continued to skyrocket. It makes no fucking difference, all it does is harm the people who are already struggling to make ends meet. It’s political theater, just “tHe PaRtIeS aT tHe NaTiOnAl LeVeL” pretending like they’re doing something to mitigate COVID - when it’s clear their mask and vaccine mandates have failed - so trainees have been designated as the sacrificial lambs.
