N90

What's the update on cip and tetra? I can't believe they actually moved an area to phl after doing the tetra thing but here we are. Can anyone update on tetra trainees? KPHL quality of life? N90 quality of life? Enhanced cip?

Sound's like they just had yet another multi radio and landline failure. One in one out, all satellite traffic grounded. Tech ops saying days to fix and potentially going to affect all N90 equipment as well.

Good thing the FAA started dismantling the Newark Sector equipment at N90.

And from the projections, when the 2 year forced temporary move is up (soon), and those controllers return to N90, they'll have more Sups than CPCs in the area and will still be lower than the projections ever estimated had the move never happened.

Sound terrible.

Anyone at N90 (still on Long Island) that can speak on how life is after the EWR area move? Are they retaining their 12 after losing all that traffic? Is it still an undesirable place to work? (I know long island in general can be undesirable to some)

N90 is still a 12... and will be either the 2nd or 3rd busiest Terminal facility in the country for Total Ops, behind only SCT and maybe MIA.

You only answered that N90 will retain their level 12, you didn't answer any other questions. Then you added what ranking level 12 you "believe" N90 will which wasn't even asked about lol.

Usually it’s good when someone only answers the question they have the answer for.

Yes it stays a 12. It gets a bad rap but I genuinely enjoyed my 11 years there. The rumors about things like washing people out to keep overtime is straight up bullshit. If it ever was true it hasn’t been in a long long time. Whether one likes Long Island or not is a personal choice. I hated it. Know plenty of people who love it.

Been here for 11 years and have always enjoyed N90. Yes the price to live is high, and the traffic sucks on the island, but I love my beach community where I live, and the wife is happy.
The old guard here has mostly retired out and it is a much different vibe than it used to be. Although it wasn't that bad when I got here, it still has improved and looks to only continue to.
