Facility Downgrades / Upgrades

Pay doesn't change for people already full certified. You'll just reach the top of the pay band faster. No CPC is getting a pay cut for being downgraded.

Is that the case with transfers? And is that the case if your facility gets downgraded by more than 3 levels?

And what if you aren’t full certified, but you arrived at a facility before it is downgraded, but are on AG or Ds?

All trainees get two years from the effective date to complete training and certify or they are certified at the new lower level and lower pay band.

Downgraded by more then 3 levels lol? Nobody goes from a 8 to a 4, it’s just the lowest level shitholes they are consolidating and hopefully contracting out.

Not part of this fight, but just to be a devil’s advocate: if they’re staffing is inflated more than it needs to be, a downgrade could lead to their staffing numbers being cut and those numbers given to facilities elsewhere that actually need additional staffing.
Unless other people have seen it somewhere, when a facility is upgraded or downgraded in level it has 0 effect on the staffing numbers. To get those changed is incredibly hard in either direction. Lots of places have staffing numbers either too high or too low.

That’s correct, but an upgrade/downgrade should get the discussion going to balance it out at least.

I thought they were going to complete re-examine and redesign all the facility staffing targets.

Is that still in the plans or did NATCA abandon it like negotiating contracts, flight deck training, labor relations support, political action outside of the national office, allowing to post on their social media sites, etc…..

Doesn’t make sense at all
I'm not mad, just surprised AF. I'm from San Diego. Never thought outa all the towers in SD that MYF would become the "big boy." Honestly I thought SAN making level 8 with the 1 RWY was a shock. I was on USA jobs today saw the pay of a OS at MFY and spit out my drink lol.
