N90 (Newark Area) to PHL FOIA's

I can tell you first hand I spend over 4hrs in front of a scope each and every shift. It wasn’t 5k it was 3k. TETRA was Dean’s baby not N90’s and it’s a complete and total disaster as the OKC instructors are just passing everyone. So it means absolutely nothing. So please…shush. It was just mini bribes by NATCA National to force us to certify the brain dead vegetables they were sending here. Want to talk about the N90/C90 MOU loop hole that every Tom dick and Harry were using to bounce around the NAS to where ever they wanted? N90 never asked for any of that shit and knew none of it would work. Gimme 100% OJTI pay and if the trainee can’t read a METAR they ain’t gonna certify.

It will 100% harm the union because the union done fucked up. People do not want to work here. Dean…couldn’t wait to move to DC and leave this place. Rinaldi…literally grew up here and hates it and never even gave a thought to working here. RICH SANTA CERTIFIED HERE AND LEFT AS SOON AS HE COULD!
Sorry for my misinformation I corrected the original post.

Good points though, what do you do when people go there to intentionally drop and go elsewhere. It's a huge beast and the toughest airspace in the world. You guys get a lot of shit for things out of your control

It hasn’t been as prevalent since they closed the loop hole for transfers. But…since the NEST lists for training failures is now 1.3-1.4 miles long for each trainees there seems to be a bit more willingness to wash. For the intentional washouts back when that was happening every day? For me, I was just done with them. No needs to even say hello. No one needs their time and energy wasted like that.

New Document, just got my hands on it today, more to follow. I also did have the chance to speak with the Plaintiff!

A few things to note:

-NATCA is outright lying about the lawsuit that the plaintiff filed to gain access to the documents FOIA'd
-There is a major miscommunication between PHL and N90 EWR area with both sides being told different stories by NATCA National
-NATCA and the FAA disregarded the 804 process, unlawfully so, and bargained in bad faith in exchange for something yet to be determined
-Our brothers and sisters at N90 EWR area had zero representation (or anyone for that matter) prior or after this decision was made, not even the FacRep was included in the negotiations
-NATCA does NOT believe that relocating N90 EWR area to PHL constitutes a change in working conditions (even getting a water cooler is a change in working conditions)
-NATCA negotiated the transfer of N90 EWR area to PHL in exchange for "something else"
-There is absolutely zero transparency behind this change in working conditions, the only transparency afforded are located within the FOIA'd documents

What could NATCA possibly be bargaining for? What is "something else" and how can we find out?

What a boring thread
It will get spicier around April 22nd when the faa has to reply to this.

The cliff notes are the faa says they sent the guy everything about the consolidation. It’s like 60 pages. 29 redacted to nothing. He asked for comms between natca and the faa regarding why n90 isn’t subject to 804 and any agency policy determinations ,etc . The agency claims that 804 never entered conversations between them and natca, or was relevant at all and that natca just took the agencies word at face value when the faa told natca that it was all ok and that was the end of it.

I have a bridge in Brooklyn for sale if you believe that

It’s a 30 year extension to the slate book.

They want to assure every current controller in the agency gets to work under it the rest of their career since “it’s simply the best contract ever imaginable, and would be a bad faith, utter insult to ever ask the agency for anything more”.
