Facility Downgrades / Upgrades

The post-Covid downgrades continue. SFB was at 356k OPs in 2019 and will probably get to 260k by years end. They lost a ton of air taxis.

The faa is so smart to give these facilities downgrades. Now they can hire 1500 new controllers as they will fit in the budget 🤡

Bro 🤣🤣🤣

It is crazy NYC always escapes this. I understand they want to keep the wages there high to attract workers but it is a different set of rules. In other News FedEx pilots rejected a deal to increase their wages by 30%. So glad NATCA committed to the 1.6% for life lol.
The argument that they want to keep the pay the same as the other towers is horseshit. Let’s make MDW a 12 so people ERR there. Wait people already do.

DVT. 9>8
LAX. 12>11
MOB. 8>7
MSP. 10>9
PDX. 8>7
SFB. 9>8
Effective 7/16/2023
The ERR lists are going to get shorter to a lot of these places. MSP used to be a country club well staffed, level 9 pay is hardly worth it for the cost of living in the twin cities. Even with high locality pay in some of these places it’s not worth it after many years of the regular raises adding up.
More now mid level places not many people want to go to unless it’s home for them.

Helluva list. DAL and HOU to start is crazy. Theyre giving out 8's to priors now?
They were always handing out 8s and 9s. Just have to have the right amount of exp. Theres a whole SOP floating around on this site somewhere that will confirm what I am saying.
I gotchu

Why did NATCA refuse to renegotiate the failing complexity formula under the "most union friendly administration in history"? The airlines are turning down 30% pay raises, and we have hundreds of controllers getting de facto pay cuts? Wow!
Every person needs to get out of the union the day they are retirement eligible (or sooner).
