2024 Pay Calendar and Pay Tables

They know they have to fix the issue next year because if trump wins we’re fucked. Forget any gains after that. We’ll get a 2 year stay of execution until ‘26 and then splat.
Define fix. As soon, Grinch Santa signed the extension, it was already the death sentence. Nothing imo they propose will move the needle as much since it doesn't affect raising basic pay per year.
Yeah all the betting odds show trump as the current favorite at the moment. Really hope everyone refusing to hold Santa accountable for the dumbest decision in the history of natca eats shit if orange man is triumphant.
"Friendliest labor administration" should be the "read my lips, no new taxes". That needs to be hammered and bludgeon to death with Orange man on the horizon.

Santa didn’t sign the extension
You’re correct, but he celebrated it being signed. Directly from the NATCA Press release:
“NATCA's President-elect Rich Santa and Executive Vice President-elect Andrew LeBovidge stated their support of this MOU extension. Rich said, "We believe extending this CBA is a great accomplishment for the covered members and our Union. This MOU will provide stability for the workforce, ensure continued collaboration to modernize the NAS, and provide the traveling public with the safest air transportation system in the world."
Hindsight is 20/20, no doubt. The extension of this CBA through 2026 was a huge mistake by NATCA.

i won’t stop calling out how they have become stagnant. Hopefully you are taking the criticism back to people who might try and negotiate things vs another extension.
You don't know anything about how things actually get accomplished. The guy at the FAA the union negotiates with is still the same person it has been for years, who will try to screw us no matter who is president if the contract is opened. Unless he transfers/retires/etc... it doesn't necessarily matter that Biden vs Trump is president. With Trump it would be active direction trying to destroy us.

Agree with all this.

So you’re saying all this collaboration isn’t getting us from point A to B and onto C?
If negotiations get started and go south NATCA should be on media blast just like they do for government shutdowns and then love taking credit when it doesn’t happen or ends it. We went to airports and protested a government shutdown, passed out fliers….who’s saying we can’t go picket during negotiations….we aren’t striking we are advocating for ourselves.
So the union set this extension up to be smack dab in the middle of another presidency.
Oh that Deja vu feeling getting old.

Collaboration on basic operations and things like more OJT premiums has nothing to do with contract negotiations.

We can do all the picketing/flyers/media garbage all you want, it doesn't mean shit when the guy in charge of the FAA negotiations is going to try to screw us as much as possible and couldn't care less what the union is saying about it.

AFGE getting shit done all this in 2023…

NATCA still talking about Covid leave and PPL.

Here’s NATCA 2023 year in review LOL

Send it to arbitration then. There will still be a staffing problem in 2026, there will still be massive amounts of OT used in 2026, 6 days work weeks. Let someone else hear how bad it’s gotten and our asks won’t look like they are out of line.
Record airline profits, increasing traffic, decreasing controller workforce.
Whatever things NATCA scared to lose by going to negotiations is worth it to get past the status quo.
AFGE knows how to get shit done.

The polls have never been wrong…

If they knew why extend it into his potential administration
I have no idea why Paul did 6 years. 6 seems like a bad idea even in the moment.

He supported it and is from the same group of cronys.

You should totally get that as a tattoo on your lower back though because I get the feeling you're going to be saying that a lot come election time.
You said decision. Which is make believe. You also said you hope we all get screwed so you can gloat about hindsight.

Slate Book was set to expire July 2022. In May 2021 NATCA announced they signed an MOU with the FAA extending it 4 years to July 2026. They can’t even begin negotiating a new contract now until January 2026.

All while blindsiding the membership.
And NATCA still has Paul on the books what a disgrace this union has become.
1/1/24 coming around soon, SF1188 season folks.

Bet they have a gofundme for when Paul leaves the contracting gigs?

At what point can we just make a new union?
AFGE union seems like they are getting things done. Vs all these photo ops and collaboration that’s not really moving the needle on things that we care about.

I think you need 50% plus one to decertify or something like that.
I think our local next year won’t have anyone that wants to do E-board that should be interesting. People are so over how many different things they have to be involved with when all we care about is the work schedule and time off at the local.
