Can’t be using the c word round here.
The FAA claims they’re incapable of automating the submission system. The only option is to build a new one and they won’t do it.
And honestly it makes sense if you look at it from the perspective of an organization that considers any transfer system to be some kind of a privilege. What a low priority everything would be.
Siphon off one month of "Rinaldi Consulting" pay and Ill build it for them.

They just need to select alternates it’s not that complicated. All these people just complicate everything

That and apply some common sense.

Example: somebody 0/2 on ERR attempts (including a declination) and ranked dead last shouldn’t be selected over somebody ranked #1 to an in need facility and trying to make the first move of their career.

But here we are…

I don't mind facilities being forced to take people. That breaks the good ol boy system. But people that decline should definitely get penalized.

There is no good ole boy system in a transfer system that is like 90% dependent upon luck.

NCEPT is a bullshit lottery system where Manager Rankings are like the 4th most important variable.

So, no, a system that forces [mostly bad] candidates to facilities is not acceptable.

Meh, either you need people or you dont. Want to do things the right way then run a bid.

All open slots at facilities should be run on a bid. And if it’s hard to staff then they get move money or some other stipend. The answer is simple, but NCEPT was negotiated and therefore is better. Controllers are hard pressed to waste their time filing paperwork that means nothing other than a number on a spreadsheet for NATCA or the FAA to work off of. I get the idea behind it but some of these places are 10+ years before they’re able to release via this method.

Allowing bids on any open position, controller or supervisor, would make sure qualified candidates that want to be somewhere put their name in the hat, rather than the shotgun ERR approach NCEPT takes.

Stop being wrong about everything all the time
Stop being a douche all the time. I wasn’t talking about statements made by myself per se. Again, I was g e n e r a l i s i n g to reflect your shitty conduct toward most everyone in here who may or may not be so well informed on various matters. Which that in and of itself warrants necessity for reps like yourself within NATCA to inform and advise us members accordingly, not act like an asshole and continually spout off at people who may not have access to quite the same amount of information as yourself being a rep, or may not have the time to seek it out.

I’ll be having a conversation with your RVP soon regarding your habitual conduct unbecoming in here and probably other places. I pay my dues for NATCA as a whole to fulfill its fiduciary responsibilities as a labor union, not put up with this fucking bullshit because you think you’re cool for going giga-chad anonymously in an online forum. You sir have the interpersonal skills of a turd.

It's a problem.
We had someone wash at a 7, go to a 4 or 5 and get checked out, then immediately get to ERR to the 11 where I am. Obviously that person that washed at a 7 less than a year prior didn't make it at an 11. It was a total waste of resources.
Similar story when someone spends near 30 years at various level 6ish facilities then goes to an 11 at the end of their career to bump their high3.

Everyone should be able to transfer if they qualify. There should be no panel at all.

You are on here advocating for weakening the unions position. If there was an electronic portal run by the agency how would we consider pac donations and whether the person is a good fit.

Do you really think it should be as simple as
1-Your facility has staffing
2-Another facility needs staffing
3-You want to go
4-You go

That would destroy 7 faa details and 5 article 114s

I appreciate the sarcasm but I don’t even think your facility should have to have staffing. I think you should be able to apply for any job you qualify for. Just like you could at another agency or a different agency.

Then the FAA can backfill with actual good bids. Let them bring back 2 year temp bids or bids with move money or whatever else incentive they need to offer to make it happen

So you're advocating we have the same transfer rights as federal employees? What's next gs step (1.6%) and chances for bonuses and other raises. What type of madman

Have you tried telling McIntosh the solution to all his staffing problems is to go from 10k CPCs to 8k CPCs?

Can’t say I know what you’re on about but if you think that’d be a punishment for somebody you haven’t been paying attention. You’ve been on here shitting on the union forever and you think you know something and your instinct is to tattle?
How’s that call gonna go?
“Look I’m tryina drag you guys and post make believe non sense on an anonymous internet forum and some account keeps calling me on my bullshit and I think it’s a rep somewhere so I’d like you guys to find them and stop them so I can go back to shitting on you in peace”
Also there’s no panel in December so the simple “this isn’t true” post you got so offended by was correct. Again.
