Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-18-ALLSRCE-57792

Just a heads up for those still working on their SF86 - don't be dumb like me and only check one credit report.

On the financial portion, I only checked my Equifax credit report, but the investigators found two old debts in collection that I was unaware of on my TransUnion report. Now I have 10 days to make them go away and to explain why I'm dumb. It's only a couple hundred bucks, and hopefully they understand that it was a mistake, but I just wanted to warn everyone else to double check all your reports.

If I have an employer from when I first turned 18(10 years ago) and no longer have any contacts from there and have no clue how to get a hold of them...any suggestions? I’m just listing the current manager and company number and explaining the situation right now, but wanted to get advice before submitting...

I can't wait for the 1st person to post that they got "the" call or their FOL. I wouldn't be surprised if someone hears something before the end of March.

So... I got an email on Friday. It said

"Please reply to this email within 1 business day, so I can lock your seat for the class and get your FOL out soon as possible. I have all your clearances and would like to offer you a class date:
1. Class Date: April 02, 2019
2
. Clearances: All Cleared
3
. Missing Documents: None"

Long story short, I applied to the Alaska FSS bid in 2017, then the OKC bid last July. I did all my CIL stuff for Alaska and I was hoping that it would transfer. Everything transferred, except for the Security Clearance (apparently FSS is a lower grade than OKC). So I filled out the eQuip again, and did my finger prints last Monday.

Not always. I believe it depends on the nature of them, and the severity.
Really, is that true? I haven't had them for years, had them when I was 5-10ish and it was because I wasn't really eating/drinking much and would get dehydrated etc. To be honest I don't actually know that I ever was even officially diagnosed with them, more like a self diagnosis, went to the doctor once and that was it. I'll have to actually check my med records. Would suck to come this far and be out because of something like that.

I have a couple jobs that I know my supervisors don't work at anymore, from several years ago. I just put them down and put a note saying that. Like I said, I only know of one non-current job that got contacted and that was one I worked at within the past 12 months.

Whoa, congrats! Seems like the FSS stuff did help.

Congrats on the Fol. As exciting as that is I hope the rest of us dont get ours that fast. I have a friends wedding that I really want to go to April 11-April 18th. Any time after that and I'll be good Haha.

That's my problem as well... I got Hamilton Tickets in April. Just kidding. But I am a teacher, and leaving halfway through the semester is gong to be interesting.

Wow, that's an unusually soon class date - in past bids they've tended to send FOLs closer to 4-6 weeks out. Although the last two enroute classes have both started with several empty spots, so maybe they're trying to get people into seats as soon as possible. That's an Enroute class date, by the way, in case the email didn't mention it.

Does anyone know how soon after you submit the sf86 and release that they may call you with questions? Sent mine in a week ago but kind of sitting on pins and needles

Same here, I’ve got some stuff going on in April with my church, I’d like to not have it be a conflict and shoot myself in the foot.

Can someone tell me what housing is like again? I have dogs and cant find which one accepts them. Not getting ahead of myself either. Finished everything and was told it was good and to await a date. They are a bit behind on the CIL. Ha Also, anyone else have a spouse in the military? Just trying to see who else is in the same situation as I am.

I've heard Isola Bella accepts pets with a fee, as well as Anatole. Not sure what info you are looking for as far as military spouses, but the FAA will not take that into consideration when you pick facilities.
