Thanks for the info! very helpful!
13/18 just failed the enroute class.Enroute is still around the same numbers, 40-60%. Last class had 9 out of 18. It seems that it's just terminal having issues. Some people are blaming the simulator computer for voice recognition problems.
There was only 10 in that class that made it to the PAs. I think they lost a couple in basics.A guy on Reddit said he just finished and had 4/12 pass.
Remember that time the FAA spent millions developing a new hiring system and AT-SA test to screen out the 'best' qualified candidates, which would increase the success rate at the Academy and eventually their Facility? Good times...
Enroute's not having these new problems as far as anyone knows right? Still pretty normal pass rates on that end. Something seems to be up with terminal specifically. Wouldn't knock the whole hiring process (at least for this), considering the people going through these classes took the time-tested AT-SAT and not the new AT-SA (if I'm not mistaken we're still processing trainees from the 2015 bid, right?).
Enroute has been historically bad since the start of 2017 as well. You're correct on the AT-SA portion, but everyone there did pass the 'BQ', which they viewed as a groundbreaking solution to figure out what traits produce great air traffic controllers. I'll never get it, but I'd love to be able to see the data breakdown past vs present. It could simply be that prior experience new hires no longer attend the academy and that has brought the collective average down...who knows...Enroute's not having these new problems as far as anyone knows right? I didn't even think of this. My class was roughly 13/18 prior exp back in 2011 and I think we passed 17/18. And all of our direct hires are doing pretty well in training.Enroute has been historically bad since the start of 2017 as well. Just to add to the known Simulator issues, when I was on my last Ground PA last year, for some reason the pilots werent transmitting any audio. They could take my instructions but not say anything back. They ended up rebooting the system twice and still had issue, so I had to basically yell to the RPO and wait for him to respond.
4/10 passed with 2 failing basics according to reddit.
Wow, seriously? How did that go down?fired during table tops because he was lazy and didn't give a crap about the job
