Anyone know why the FAA cut class sizes for next 6 months in Enroute? 14 classes for first 2 quarters of new fiscal, 26 for the second quarter. Whats up? Program change? lose funding? Half the Enroute instructors told no work till next May-June?

My guess is that there’s not a lot of students left to choose from.

Most likely has to do with the stragglers from last years bid (myself and quite a few still waiting) and this bid nearing the ATSA window. Figure y’all will take the ATSA here soon, the testing window will run close to November. Best case TOLs may roll out either just before or right after the new year.

I had talked with somebody here in OKC who deals with the on boarding process and this is pretty accurate. What I understood them saying was that it was really medical that was dragging the process down. Go figure ?

My HR had informed that they have their list of eligible candidates and ATSA testing dates ready to go. However, she is unsure when the emails will start going out.

I wasn't really expecting much earlier than that anyway. Last year's bid had classes starting April, I believe, so this falls in line.

AND the bid was a month earlier this year. So if anything, classes should start in March, but it's not looking like that

Its my second time, so I get it. I guess you can say its a smooth process, its just as smooth as Molasses going down hill.

The past two experience bids have been really fast compared to usual timelines.

I took my atsa last October 12th. I’m already out of basics at the academy. You never know, it could go very smoothly and quickly. That’s also with the month long shut down.

i'm not too worried about it, it'll happen eventually, its a waiting game now. I'de rather let them deal with all of their paper work than answer all of our phone calls.
