Hiring Bid FAA-ATO-19-ALLSRCE-61676

Hey folks, hope you had a good turkey day.

When scheduling the MMPI - the CIL states "Check the notes column to ensure you're contacting the primary proctor"...
Does this mean we have to go to the facility where that primary is located? In my case the only primary listed is over 3 hours away from my location.

That's the same issue I ran into here in Norcal. All of the primary proctors are in Socal for some reason.

There are two pools: Pool 1 is military and CTI, Pool 2 is true off-the-street. By law the numbers they hire from each pool have to be within 10% (IIRC) of each other. So, for example, if they only have 500 Pool 1 candidates qualify from the ATSA, then they can hire no more than 611 Pool 2 candidates, even if they have 650 Pool 2 candidates who are "best qualified" (45% Pool 1, 55% Pool 2).
So, if you are in pool 1 and get "well qualified", you surely will get TOL:)

Yeah I saw your post a few pages back and no one replied.
Guessing you had to schedule with a primary from SoCal then? My HR rep is out today so I haven't been able to reach him regarding it.

Huh, didn't really even think of this. My closest facility has 3 backups so I just assumed they split the duty. Haven't heard back from the person I emailed yet with the holiday and all

im not lying on official government forms, and the flight surgeon apparently has access to my sf86 anyway
That sucks. This job is a great opportunity. I just went back and looked at my friends medical disqualification letter over smoking weed in the last 2 years and it was pretty clear. Maybe different regions do different things and you can get through.

How many prior jobs can an applicant have been fired from before they are disqualified?

I don't think it's quite that plain and simple. Its not like if you've been fired from 5 jobs your DQ'd but if its 4 you're fine. Its all circumstantial on why you were terminated, your previous work history and performance etc. They will look into it, and they will look well.
