Hiring Bid FAA-ATO-19-ALLSRCE-61676

I've been reading about it too and it seems like the consensus is that it's not easy, but not impossible. It depends on your case.
Ugh, ya that's what I've been seeing too. Oh well, hopefully it'll work out. I've gotten a doctor's note and I'll bring in my old medical card.

Hey guys, quick question. I've been pretty stressed about the medical exam due to a diagnosis of ADD when I was younger. I saw online that the medical exam is about equivalent to the FAA class 2 exams, however, I wasn't sure if it was old information or not. I was trying to get my private pilot's license a couple years back and was able to pass the medical exam for that. So just wondering what my chances were and whether I should start looking for another career or not.

I'm in the same boat too. From research on this site it seems like most people think it might be disqualifying but no one knows for sure. On the other hand, I haven't seen anyone say they got in with an ADD/ADHD diagnosis. So it's pretty discouraging, especially since it was over a decade ago and I have no other marks against me, but I'm preparing myself for the possibility that I'll be disqualified.

Just a heads up for those who haven't done fingerprints yet - make sure you send 2 fingerprint cards. I've been pretty organized in getting things done and just have my e-Qip to submit, but somehow I overlooked this part of the fingerprint instructions and only caught it as I was reviewing everything.

Ya, I'm just assuming that I will be DQ'ed then at least I won't be terribly disappointed if it does happen.

I have TH. Scheduled everything except my drug test, haven't gotten any additional info on that.

This was in the email I got after I sent in my pre-employment interview worksheet:

Schedule your drug test now by contacting BAE/EMSI Call Center at 1-866-236-3674.
They are available 24-hours a day/7-days a week. You are required to take a drug test within 5 business days of completing your physical examination.

I would recommend giving them a call ASAP and scheduling your drug test since it has to be within 5 business days of your physical.

I've read about people getting medicals having been diagnosed with ADHD, but they usually have to take a CogScreen to prove the original diagnosis was incorrect or that it's no longer applicable. I guess we'll find out.

Yeah that's really all I'm asking for: a chance to disprove a "diagnosis" from ~15 years ago. I understand why they take a hardline stance on this kind of thing, but at the end of the day all I have is my story against something that's on my medical record, so a chance to test past it would be awesome.

Where does it say that? I’m wondering because it is nowhere to be found in my security instructions email.

"You may also obtain fingerprints at your local police station – if you choose this option, print out two copies of the attached SF-87 or you may use the cards that the law enforcement agency uses. Ensure all information is completed on the card and the fingerprinting official signs both cards. Please mail (USPS/UPS/FEDEX) the cards to the PSS name and address found on this email. We require the ORIGINAL cards"

That is so much more than my email included. My email did not specify copies, originals, or shipping via USPS. How can we all get such different instructions? Ha.

Same lol. Mine forgot to even attach the fingerprint forms, and when I did get them, there were no instructions.

That’s cool. We’re you given a choice?
Received a phone call asking if I could be at OKC on short notice or if I wanted to wait
Congratulations!! Were you pool 1?
yeah, pool 1

Congrats! I would love a to have as quick a turnaround to get me into OKC! Do you remember the dates around when you completed each step? I'll hoping to have everything completed by next week!
My timeline:
TOL - 11/6/19
CIL - 11/15/19
MMPI competed - 11/18/19
E-QIP submitted - 11/22/19
Drug test - 11/25/19
Medical Exam - 11/26/19
FOL - 12/6/19

my situation will vary from yours. I work at a radar facility (not as a controller) so I was able to take my MMPI right away and I already had a security clearance. Still had to redo the clearance, but I assume it was a faster process the second time around.
Good luck to everyone and stay patient!
