Hiring Bid FAA-ATO-19-ALLSRCE-61676

I doubt it takes that long, I think that's just their generic answer.
Whos your security POC? Im just waiting on security.... :/

DW is my security POC. It was originally JD on the CIL but DW took over from the beginning and has been my POC for security since.

So I just received an email saying that I have conditional security clearance and that everything looks good, but they are just waiting for my medical stuff to filter through which can typically take 2-4 months to make it back to their office? :( Does this mean it's going to take that long before I can get a class date/FOL? That seems like a long time for medical.

Yea DF said the same thing to me a couple weeks ago, "The medical clearance is the one that takes the longest with it being in two parts, it’s usually around 2-4 months for us to receive the overall medical clearance back in our office."

Can I ask you, did your employer receive a security letter?

Yes they did, in fact they told me when they received it and that they will be taking care of it, they made it clear to me that it wasn't their first rodeo with this as they have had to go through this process with a former employee before. I have a good working relationship with my management and told them ahead of time about this opportunity. I am still employed here. It came almost immediately the week after I submitted my e-qip.

Appreciate it. I've read a couple places that it seems like those letters are sent rather quickly. I have a good relationship with my supervisor and management team too but they haven't received anything yet. e-QIP was released in early December. More waiting!

From my understanding and experience with home 2 suites, it’s a queen bed, 2 burner stove, dishwasher, sink, sofa, desk, tv. I figure the complementary breakfast in the morning will help stretch out the per diem for food. Plus free gym and a pool as well.
Any cons? It seems like you would have to find a laundromat (if not laundry is not offered), rent a private mailbox, and drive if shuttle service isn't offered directly to the FAA academy. At the very most, I'm trying to find a Kitchen and shooting for Hyatt and then Hilton in terms of strength of the loyalty program. Marriott is just bleh.

I'm pretty sure Homewood Suites offers Laundromats, even some of the cheapest hotels I've stayed at have had that. As someone else pointed out to me earlier in this thread, Transportation Link schedule for the FAA Academy shuttle.

If I currently live in Oklahoma but live with my parents would I be able to use the housing per diem to stay in a hotel closer to the academy or do I not get that since I already live in Oklahoma?

For everyone that’s taken the mmpi, how long did it take to hear back?
No news is good news on any individual portion of the CIL requirements. I received my FOL about 2 weeks after I completed my MMPI and that was only because they were waiting on my e-QIP.

Still debating asking my HR POC for my MMPI results to see what it said.

If you live in OKC I'm pretty sure you don't get any lodging per diem.

There is a certain mileage you have to be from OKC to get the housing per diem. I would change your address to a friend or relative that is at least 50? miles away. Maybe get your name on the cable bill for a month. If it’s that big a deal. You can’t pocket the extra money from lodging anymore so it’s less appealing to jump through hoops as it used to be.

I'm bummed I got a date so soon ;( Strange how I took medical and MMPI much later than you and was approved first. I actually only took medical last week. Hopefully they work with me.

I had a couple things holding up my medical so my timeline is slightly different, but I did just submit everything they wanted today. So maybe if I'm lucky it'll only be a week until I get a class date like you

It’s not a big deal. I was just curious about it because someone mentioned staying at a hotel while they’re in OKC so they could get enough rewards points to stay at one for free for a while when they get assigned to a facility so I would like to do that if possible but if not then I’m not too worried about it.
