"This facility is a country club"

How about the newly certified CPC mass filing ERR's out one week after certification?
How about getting hired and sent 2000 miles away from where you want to be? People applied for the job knowing they might have to suck it up for a few years, but nowhere in the employment paperwork did it say new hires have to gargle the balls of the senior guys to satisfy some sort of unwritten gentleman's clause of putting your time in. If you're cool with being a lifer at Des Moines then have at it, but there's no conceivable reason you should be shaming someone who just checked out and wants to get home, or chase their high 3, or whatever the fuck reason they want to have. The way the new dynamic decisions are, they probably wont be picked up for 14 years anyway so why not drop all the paperwork they want the day after they certify?

I don't blame new CPCs for putting in ERRs right after they certify. There's no policy that says they can't so why wait. At the same time, you can't blame people who are frustrated when they see new CPCs that they trained get extremely lucky and get picked up in their first or second NCEPT while they have been waiting years. The system just has a lot of flaws and no one knows the proper fix. In the end, you'll never please everyone.

I gave my trainee my err packet to copy before he certified at my last stop. We both got out on the same panel. If you want out you want out. whatever, no one owes anyone shit, sorry.

I don't care if I am training someone who wants to move on. Just don't be a douche, don't turn down an offer and don't go somewhere you have no chance at and are going to wash out.

this isn't that hard.

Well, I don't know how long it took but you got out. I'm talking about those who have been trying to get out for years with no luck. Just saying that would get frustrating after a while especially after you see a few newbies hit the jackpot and get out right away.

Will they let you gargle balls even if you don't want to leave? Asking for a friend, of course.

Get the tonsil trampoline ready, you're gonna work the suicide with Tuesday/Wednesday RDOs for 10 years, at which time I will thereby bestow my seniority-based blessing upon you to file no more than 3 ERRs every calendar year.

It may be frustrating but it means absolutely nothing if you’re putting in for different places. Legitimate or not, their choice needed people and your choice didn’t. End of story.

How does it look to the panel if you put in err paperwork before you certify, but are close to certifying? Does this in anyway effect your chances? I know someone who did this but but certified soon after, does it effect anything?

Well your paperwork will say that don't have a rating. Doubt HR updates it for you to say you checked out, could be wrong though.

My facility definitely doesn't have this problem but everyone will tell you to shut the fuck up if you bitch about not making any money on AG pay because its so fucking expensive. People here also would rather new people get fucked as opposed to helping any new people.
Hi AB19. I want you to know that I'm only here because this is open for anyone on the internet to see and I've gotten multiple notifications from people, some in our facility some not, about your posts and I'd be remiss if I let you openly talk trash about me and your fellow coworkers unchecked. May I be the first to remind you that about 3 months ago we fought and won the ability to restructure our pay scale so that trainees earn their raises much sooner than they have in the past. It's a complete lie that "everyone will tell you to shut the fuck up if you bitch about not making any money on AG pay." Every single person who has come through MAF in the past 10 years has had to go through the same problem and everyone sympathizes. We've been fighting hard to get greater and better training opportunities for all of our trainees. All of our CPCs are eligible to train and they do so 6 days per week, even some of our supervisors will throw themselves into the rotation and train to meet our goals. It's supremely disrespectful to imply that we don't care, especially after how hard we've fought for you in your personal training career.

Let this serve as a reminder that ATC is a small community and there's no escaping your reputation, especially when you post openly and proudly on the internet about how you hate your facility and your coworkers. Best of luck at RTF!

Sincerely,
Your NATCA Rep

Damn couldn't just pull the guy to the side, had to go full facebook on him? lol

I go out of my way to avoid making it obvious where I work and I'm relatively happy with where I work. It wouldn't be hard to figure out who I am if you know me but it's specifically for this reason. Everyone who saw this is gonna remember it.

I mean... you can also just be smart about it. I love talking to people about MRY (the good and the bad) and know that everyone here can take a joke

Now now, most of us know nothing about the true situation at MAF so let’s not crown this Fac Rep king for calling out a punk, or honor this trainee for calling out his facility. It is probably a bad idea to post where you are at on this or to call out a building or person as specifically as has been going on.

But either story could be true. There are certainly punk/entitled new hires, especially recently who should be put in their place. But there is also a decade long tradition of low level up/downs with god complex establishment senior controllers and a ATM/Fac Rep combo who are essentially the same person, and not in a good collaboration way, and training programs at those places can be abysmal.

So again, I don’t know what the case is here, or if it is probably something in the middle. Let each side tell their piece if they wish but without knowing the full story let’s not glamorize either side. There are no winners here just victims.
