Back to work

It's going to be blood in the streets in order to ERR out of those 5 and no one's going to want to go to them.

in a perverse way it may make it much easier to leave.... once they are contracted out and perhaps get their pick of many facilities. not much solace if you actually paid your dues, donated to your PAC, and enjoyed and/or were content w your facility. but hey the boys at Kalama-zoooo can afford a couple extra rounds now that their made man brought home the bacon. Hey, hostile takeovers are never ez. just a lil' collateral damage. solidarity!

Which could easily be 10 years. I'm sure the intent is to contract those places out but that's a significant political undertaking in an already slow-ass government. They should have done right by their members and given every single CPC at those towers one golden ticket to go anywhere with a staffing vacancy and fill those now VFR towers up with academy grads.

Instead I'm sure NATCA tried to force feed everyone koolaid and convince them that the consolidation was in every single person's best interest and that no losers would be created by the process. Such a joke of a union.

the peasants always have the Lottery or a possible Golden Ticket to hope for and give them meaning! Hunger Games 5: ERR to your Capitol.

You don’t need to have your FACREP or ATM tell you the rankings. You can request the information straight from HR via the HRPM. You can ask for any and all information regarding selection.

Dudes, you are missing all the positives of 804. Basically everyone does benefit. People who want to go with the consolidation get paid moves and upgrades. If you stay at the old place you make 6 or 7 pay working 4 or 5 traffic. And lots of the old towers get over staffed and you can ERR if you have prior RPO experience. The Agency does save money overall and NATCA is on board. So everyone wins in different ways.

You sure about that? If that’s the case and it’s public knowledge why haven’t people been doing it and then posting it here or elsewhere like we post everything else if it’s that easily accessible?

Except for some people who are already at the facilities gaining the new airspace. Many people got ZERO dollars for having learn new airspace despite being CPCs. And were obviously required to certify on the new stuff.

Oh man, you can’t BS me I read the AZO realignment MOU and those AZO CPCs got a 1% bonus when the 5 TRACONs arrived AND a 1% bonus when they certified on them.

Ummm yup. Because I’ve done it on several bids that I wasn’t selected for. Look it up.

Well, if what your saying is true it’s one of the biggest revolutions of the NCEPT era , people can start to do this every time and get to the bottom of the manager ranking lists.

But forgive me for being skeptical sir, as Carl Sagan once said “extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence”.

Even if so, as crooked Hillary Clinton once said in the Benghazi hearings: "What difference does it make!?" So now you KNOW empirically and provably that the system is corrupt? Lol, what is the ATM gonna do, capitulate and hire you? You cant shame the shameless!

How does that saying go... better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than speak up and remove all doubt? Its probably better to keep some 1% of blissful ignorance and believe the world is fair. We have a union afterall, how could it not be!?

FAA HRPM 1.14 paragraph 13.

I’ll have to check and see what that says next time I’m at work then have to have someone try to do it and see if they actually comply even if the order states they should.
That’s the biggest issue with HR, the lack of complying with orders. I’ve had to explain several times I’m eligible for jobs, they deemed me ineligible for, because they just don’t understand. Good luck.

This plus probably true, the Agency has never had any shame or tried to hide blatant nepotism and favoritism, NACTA crushes resistance too at least in anything regarding NCEPT, so maybe it won’t change anything after all is will just confirm what we already knew was there like those pentagon/Navy UFO tapes.

Yup. The system is called: nepotism, politics, and old boys.

You dont get selected by being ambitious, qualified, or interviewing well.... unless you're applying to a shithole no one wants. IE, Alaska, A Center, or one of the lowly facilities left for dead in the wake of an 804 scam. SEE: state of Michigan.
I was selected via NCEPT based on my resume and skill. I had visited the facility three years prior and only sent the ATM an email. Don't believe I talked to the fac rep at all. So as much as you guys think it's all about nepotism, politics, and old boys that isn't always the case. Make yourself valuable... If you can't then you sure as heck better contact the ATM and/or fax rep and express your desire to be there. If you're just submitting paperwork and praying you've got else chance (in my opinion). The ability to put a face or a voice to the paperwork is invaluable.

Cripes some of you would probably prefer a system that didn't include names and only included a list of previous facilities certified at and time in the agency. Might as well propose a blind application process.
