Terminal Placement list

Terminal Placement list 10/26/2022

No permission to download
UPDATE
NEST panel 6/8/16
Received 12 facilities to rank 6/22/16
My choices were:
ILG, AGC, DAY, BDL, BED, LNK, MKC, DPA, RNO, SMF, SMO, LAF

When MJ updated this list on 6/10 there were 5 "reserved for NEST" from the 6/8 panel. These were listed as "reserved for NEST employee" and listed as updated on 6/10/16. The choices were ILG, DAY, BDL, RNO, SMF.

I'm not sure where the rest of the choices came from
I'll post the rest of my dates later for anyone interested in how long it took for me to go through the NEST and get to my next facility

Reserved means it was offered to a nest placement, not that it is reserved for future placement.

Yes. I was on the 6/8 panel so the list updated on 6/10 "reserved" would mean possible landing places for me in particular correct?

There is also a difference of "offered" vs "reserved". Now that I have my choices would those facilities have changed from reserved to offered?

That would assume from the time NEST made the decision to the time HR generated your facilities is less than two days. I think you give them too much credit :)

offer means the facility was assigned (tol). it will then be "filled" once a start date is settled (firm).

"Reserved for nest employee"- assigned 6/10. Maybe they are getting better? Lol I have a screenshot of the spreadsheet on my phone but the file is too big

haha maybe. there were 12 days after that till you got the list though right? all Im saying is, the list is not real time, as Im sure you know :) if I downloaded it on the 21st I bet it would match all your facs up.

NEST Update

I'm headed to AGC which was the second choice on my list. Still don't know when I'll get my FOL and transfer date but it looks like from start (suspending training) to finish (arrival at new facility) my whole process will take about 2 1/2 to 3 months

I noticed the furthest the list is projecting dates seems to be August. That's obviously a lot of movement/placements between now and then. Do you think they're anticipating people moving after the next ncept meeting or just have a long list? The further you go down, the less info they have as far as who is going where. Any theory on this?

They drill down the placements as time goes on. The list shifts a lot that far out. If they drilled it down they'd be changing it constantly. A month out the class numbers will populate. Remember the list literally changes daily.

And to tag on to that... even after a class gets a list of facilities, they are still subject to change, as a class found out today. Not to rain on anyone's parade, but it's really not worth speculating off the excel list until HR hands you a real list...

LHR is right. The week before your evaluations in the tower cab, they give you a list of facilities that may possibly show up on your list. After your evaluations, they give you the list again. A class that just graduated had a list a week before, but then when placement day came, the list was entirely different. Maybe 10 out of the 36 stayed on the list.
Good luck, and remember you clicked "I will go anywhere in the United States"

Not quite. The list they issue a week(ish) before is SUPPOSED to be the "official" list - but they reserve the right to change it. This time, I suspect this class's list changed due to the almost 50% failure rate for that class, which may have changed some of the mandatory facilities, etc.

Remember, the Academy is always changing rules and policies, so what was valid yesterday may not be valid tomorrow. If anybody on here is reading this who is destined for terminal (or in terminal right now) - your best bet is the advice HR gives, which is focus on studying and worry about placement on placement day. They give you a whole day while you're at the academy to sort all this out, call facilities, etc. Like GL said - you checked the "I will go anywhere in the United States" box. Yes, one day may not seem like a lot, but the focus really should be about studying, not placements, especially on the terminal side.

Do you know how the list changed? Did they still offer 36 slots or did they offer less slots? Did the mandatory assignments go down from 5 as well since 50% of the class failed?

I don't know for certain that 36 were offered - but I haven't heard anything on the contrary. I believe they just pulled off the bottom handful of facilities and replaced them with different ones. The "rule" is 25% not to exceed 5 facilities will be mandatory. This would mean 2 facilities were mandatory for this last class.
