Academy Post-COVID

TL:DR, don't blow off the block tests, but always remember the sims count for way more. and under no circumstances is studying aircraft rec worth it.
Yessir! That does come as some relief. Some of my classmates hinted that they're studying longer lists of 100+ aircraft, and I was quite intimidated.

lol I’m not some master manipulator trying to get under your skin. I’m prone to my fair share of trolling but it’s not personal. We’re all equal in this hell scape called point65.

i'm not picking on CF, but why did the mods trash my posts and not this one from CF? def wasn't any more on topic than mine were.....

There's no reason for you to not get good scores on the academics. It's a lot more comforting to go into the final evals with more points than less cuz a lot of people pass or fail by a percent or two. You wanna put yourself into the position where you pass within the first two evals and the third one will just be a bonus for your facility pick order.

They deleted at least one of m my posts. Got the notification but didn’t go back to look and at which one(s).

Lol same. Collateral damage is inevitable! I've got 24 hour bans a few times tho, and never been told what they were for, therefore been unable to reform

Don’t listen to these degenerates. Get as close to 100% on your tests as possible. There is a direct correlation between your academic scores and success on eval day.

Are there outliers? Sure. But the vast majority will fall into the statistics your instructors tell you about what academic scores you need to be successful on eval day.

It’s like 4th grade math. 10% of your grade is academics. 90% is sims. Which should you focus more on?

At the same time every point counts. When it comes time to pick facilities .10% of a point could mean the difference in going to a crap location or not

if you’re gunna talk smack use the correct facts. Academics are 34% of your grade in enroute at least.
YES!!!!
Especially with the options y’all are getting right now, it could be the difference between the contiguous United States versus Puerto Rico or Alaska.
During the academics portion, you focus on academics. During the lab portion, you focus on the lab. You can’t really focus on lab things when you are in the academics portion. Do your best at everything in the current moment.
