Academy Post-COVID

ok. The question marks threw me. Maybe he was an RPO Somewhere and his uncle’s dad’s brother was a supervisor there.
Ehhhh his wife is a DTW or Detroit approach controller who just happened to be in OKC during his evals. Also he got switched from EnRoute to Terminal after Basics because he “got sick”

That makes sense ? He was probably 2nd worst in our class (and we had 4 or 5 fail on their 1st local run with 0’s) I will give credit where credit is due though, definitely #1 Black & Mild chain smoker though

Little inhale on the exhale with the B&M’s ehh?? Or just full inhale?? ? Yeah I was hearing that he just checked out at YIP recently.

We had a guy in our class(terminal) who showed up to the first day of class with his FAA badge already that said ZNY on it. You won’t be surprised to find out he got switched to the next enroute class and ended up placed at ZNY.

Well the faa finally did EVERYONE a favor by making this move. If you want ZNY or ZOA then the faa should give it to you. I know a girl that was DENIED ZOA but the next class had 3 people MANDATORY to ZOA

I think for a time they were allowing volunteers to Guam and ZSU, but they must have gotten rid of it. Had a couple people from my class who tried to volunteer for both and got denied.

I’d never seen it before or since. Mine says FAA but some of the new people at my facility have DOT.

i think he worked there before doing something else not ATC. But agreed, they should let people volunteer for hard to staff places after they get their TOLs.

In regards to caring/not caring about academics, I’ll just leave this information here with you.

This is for en route;

Total academic/“easy” stuff is worth 34/100 points. Final three runs for finals are 22 each totaling 66.

My lead instructor told us not to give away free points and “you can’t pass in academics, but you fail because of academics.”

Also, if I didn’t put as much effort into either side it would have been the difference between grabbing top spot and going home or moving somewhere else all together. FWIW, 14/18 passed from my class.
