Best band you ever saw live

GWAR is from Richmond, Virginia. I hail from Richmond. One of them owns a bar with AMAZING food and big tittied goth girls working the bar.

To answer the post: First concert was Metallica on their Reload tour. I was in 7th grade so...’97? It was pretty awesome (before they REALLY sold out)

currently I’d say Thursday and Touché Amore have been my favorites to see multiple times. Tiny MovingParts gets a mention for A. Sounding awesome live and B. Amazing energy
Load and ReLoad (semen and blood included) had their moments. “Bleeding Me” and “Wasting My Hate” come to mind. “Frayed Ends of Sanity” from AJFA is my all-time favorite.

I’m giving my identity away from here on in, but do any of you practice or play any instruments?

I’ve played and occasionally play guitar for over 15 years. All self-taught: AKA listen to songs on repeat like I’m borderline autistic until I have memorized the riffs and licks until I can play them myself. Lots of melodic metal listening has helped increase my skill.

AJFA is hands down their best album. Perfect blend of rock and metal. Nothing hits like the intro to Blackened.

Palate cleansing, what was the best band you ever saw live, not necessarily your favorite band but the one you left with just a sense of awe at what you just saw

I love music more than anything, and live music is just the bees knees. Left me with a sense of awe?

Rob Zombie. He paused his set for like 15 minutes until all the ppl put their phones down and just rocked out instead of being robots. His stage presence is top tier.

Weezer. Album quality music but literally did not move an inch.

Tom Petty and Joe Walsh rocking the fuck out on Toms opening night of 40th anniversary show.

Paul McCartney. Went to a huugeee festival (Desert Trip) and wasnt expecting much outta his set. Blown away.

Tool on Halloween night in the desert. No further info needed tbh.

Kinda surprised no one mentioned lamb of god. They kick so much ass live and I kinda forgot them in my original post.

Agree absolutely with rob zombie, he has an incredible stage presence, he used to have his back up singers dressed as 60s go-go dancers, love his show

I must have seen him too late, looked like they were some old timers trying to stay hip. Out of breath the whole time lol.

Muse. My favorite band and have seen them 6 times and their shows keep getting bigger and better
What they did with Murph on the Simulation Theory tour last year was pretty sick

Well yeah. Just watch the ASL interpreter.

The Durtbags at Rick’s and Durty Harry’s in Key West. If you know, you know. They’re the bar’s house cover band and can and do play any and everything. They play an absolutely incredible The Who mashup and play anything from classic bar singalongs to heavy metal and hit it out of the park every time. My girlfriend, who doesn’t drink and does not got to bars has, on multiple occasions, requested the 4 hour drive down to see them play when I lived in Ft. Lauderdale.

Any and every thing, you say?

I’ve always said I would listen to anything once. I have now listened to My Balls by Snot, not bad. They have a little bit of a Rage Against the Machine vibe.
That’s the only album they released. The lead singer died shorty after its release. Bummer too they were a lot of fun.
