Hiring Bid FAA-ATO-20-ALLSRCE-65607

Has anyone heard if there will be another bid in the near future? I’ve just heard about this process and know nothing about it! Thanks!
Half of the people who applied for this bid haven’t even moved on to the next step after submitting their application which is taking the atsa soooo probably not for quite a while. Especially with how backed up the academy and training at facilities is

Let’s not forget this is the FAA.. Anything can happen haha.

It's usually once a year. So, maybe this coming year or who knows how things will go with this pandemic going on.

Tbh I think sometime next year. Yeah there’s a pandemic going on but the world isn’t going to stop spinning over it. Yeah maybe they might hire less but the FAA will continue the process. Just know, patience will be your best friend.

Update on TOL’s:

spoke with a rep today when my 2 weeks of waiting was up. She said that they are backed up and CIL’s might take longer than 2 weeks because of short staff. If you want to know if they got your stuff correct, they can tell you.

Am I reading this right? Are we to insinuate that CIL's are going out within the next 2 weeks?

Update:

My father, an instructor (not anymore due to COVID), seems to think we will start getting class dates around March... I’ll keep dreaming with you, old man ?

Looked at my old one. It’s not in the signature, it’s the very last line of the letter. “If you have any questions, please contact:”

Edit: Y’all are gonna have to get used to reading stuff like a lawyer.
Ain’t nobody told me bout no fancy pants readin I

Welcome all to the waiting game of your future. If this is your first time aboard the slow train to OKC follow these guidelines and everything in the world will be okay.

1. There will be forum trolls with fake accounts
2. There will probably be the same questions asked over and over again, don't be surprised if anyone gets mad and says "check the FAQ"...but you probably should check the FAQ.... ?, but also don't be afraid to ask questions, there are a lot of people on this forum that have a lot of knowledge with the process. To answer one of the most common questions that I saw in the last bid: ATCprep.com is a great piece of study material for the first half of the test. LSAT logical reasoning practice questions can help you with the second half.
3. No one is actually 100% certain of what HR is thinking or their so it is mostly speculation/hearsay/based on prior bids
4. Don't quit your job or stop your life just because you applied. It could be at least 5-6 months from today before you are able start training (if you are lucky enough to get a TOL(Temporary offer letter) that turns into an FOL(Final offer letter))
5. Most of all, sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.

If you are curious as to what the timeline of the beginning steps of the last bid was, look in my signature below and that should help.
any updates on your CIL packet. First time in the hole and my time line matches pretty close to yours. Got TOL 09/29/20. Radio silence after confirmation of accepted TOL

Can you link or DM me that group?
still a link for that group?

Are you a CTI grad? If so, message me and I’ll send you the link. They get mad when we publicly post the link to that group on here because they get a million join requests of people who are not CTI grads ?

I am a CTI student but they never accepted me in the group!!

they asked those initial questions but never asked for the proof. I can send screenshots of transcripts and stuff

So apparently NATCA and the FAA have come up with an OJT recall plan. This along with seeing in the 20’ prior exp hiring bid thread that MMPI scheduling has begun again in New Jersey only at this moment, it sounds like things are picking up a little bit. Not gonna speculate on when just want to put the information out there that a plan is now in place on a national level.

quick summary of the plan is, they’re using Harvard’s Global Health Institute as the metric on which they measure cases. They’ve given colors to indicate where the facility is at in terms of risk per 100,000 people. Red being 25 or more cases per 100k people. Green being less than 1 case per 100k. Facilities must maintain a risk level of yellow or green for two consecutive weeks for OJT (perhaps other employees/work that’s non-control related Like HR stuff) to resume. Status and risk level of facilities is tracked and reviewed weekly.

there’s some more red tape as well but this is the gist of things.

Yes I would do that! I don’t remember what I had to do in order to join the cti group originally because that was yearsssss ago, but in order to join the cti 2020 bid group, I had to provide screenshots of my transcripts to prove I was a true cti student. High security lol. So not only is there a cti group, but there’s a 2020 bid group as well. They post a lot of great info in the 2020 bid group!

Honolulu has resumed mmpi testing as well! Hopefully that means a lot of other facilities will too and we’ll get to get this process moving! I think the mmpi was the only clearance thing that was not being conducted and holding us up. So hopefully as long as facilities are in the green/yellow, we can get our CIL and get moving!
