2025 Convention

After going, I see why they do it in bigger areas. For the members that go and use their own leave, it’s nice that they can make a vacation out of it by flying in earlier or staying later. I only flew in for the convention and left Sunday night and it seemed like a waste of leave. I see both sides of the electronic voting argument. I want every member to be represented and I think it’s a problem that some delegates don’t always vote for what their members want. If anyone thinks their facrep/delegate is not voting in their facility’s best interest, you need to vote them out and try to change the process if that’s what you believe is best.
Oh no. Don’t tell them to vote someone out. They either don’t want to do that, Or their vote doesn’t count

I'm not involved enough with NATCA politics and post history to really have an appropriate response to their original argument and questions, but as someone who can't attend NATCA seminars, NATCA conventions, etc. Their (my) source of news and understanding about these kinds of topics comes from *these places* it's a prudent choice that you can take to sell it not to just them, but everyone.

I think it’s strange that the union is more bitter towards none due paying members then those who left the union because they joined management.

I find even more bizarre that union doesn’t care it’s staffing MOU is a management feeding machine. At my facility, management is better staffed then the floor…and they still use CICs for the desk.

I don’t think anyone is bitter. Quit the union no one cares, some people see it as a benefit. Now you can’t vote against what some call the “majority” . Come online and bitch and moan, no one cares what you have to say anyways. Can’t vote the next person out, can’t make any change, not willing to do anything about your situation except sit online and bitch all day. And you get butthurt when I call you guys out talking nonsense. Go to Australia no one cares.

People haven’t gotten a raise since ‘99 reallyif that’s your point of view. And lots of pay freezes in between that and the slate book.

I don't know whether you are or not a NATCA officer, but since you just stated here that nobody is answering you, why don't you answer the questions I posted above that you apparently ignored. Why has NATCA national remained silent throughout this whole debacle of the EWR area being ripped out of N90 to PHL? I can't think of a more important fight these last few years, and even now, with all the agency fuck ups being exposed almost on a daily basis on national TV, and yet..not a peep from our union. Speaking on our behalf is LITERALLY NATCA's job. Why do our controllers have to be giving anonymous interviews to the media to expose the agency's incompetence? Shame on NATCA for abandoning our guys.

Today is us, tomorrow can be any other facility!

They straight up should care that controllers are leaving the union due to being disenfranchised. These aren't anti union people that hate unions and don't want them to exist, these are people who haven't seen any benefit from NATCA in about a decade now. Now once ATC is in the news for staffing, and also the crash, NATCA says absolutely nothing in response to mainstream news articles or Kirby dragging controllers.

They should care that controllers would rather move all the way around the world to work and become a citizen in a different country for less money because NATCA has failed at advocating for pay and benefits for it's members (the core purpose of any union).

The fact that you are right and they don't care about current members quitting, others moving to Australia, joining the DOD, or just leaving the union shows that they straight up don't even care about they're dues paying members or the career field they represent.

They don't care that people are leaving. They are pushing for the FAA to bring on thousands of new hires that they can indoctrinate to pay dues for their open bars and multimillion dollar conventions where they can throw a "Who can eat Trish's ass the most" competition.

They don't care that 1000 disgruntled members with legitimate grievances are leaving because we will be replaced tenfold... They're kicking the can down the road, it will take the people being hired in 2027 years to realize how useless NATCA is
