Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-17-ALLSRCE-53474

Don’t forget, out of those 921 a good portion are tier 2 so it’s entirely possible we will pass the tier 2 and go to the academy before them. I read somewhere about half of the remaining population was tier 2 so that would mean about 460 Aug 2016 TOL holders have yet to go to the academy.
Definitely! I agree.

This is kind of a random thought, but don't drug tests expire after 6 months? It wouldn't make sense to have a bunch of people take drug tests unless they thought these folks would be classing up in the next 6 months. Although the government tends to not use common sense at times so who knows...

You can be tested multiple times. they don't wait for anything to give you the test. don't read into it.

e-Qip and MMPI done. Have my medical scheduled at the end of next week in good ol' Johnson City, TN.

Do they do the drug test as part of the medical exam or is that yet another thing I'll have to schedule?

You'll get an email about how to schedule your drug test. Keep in mind it must be scheduled for AFTER your medical.

Hey guys, I am sure this was answered already but on the website I am in pool 2 and it still says referred.. does this mean there is still a chance for me to get in or no. Thanks and again I appoligize if this was already talked about.

Based on information that has been posted, it looks like there will not be anymore TOL's sent out unless they get a large number of people dropping out during the security or medical checks.

Anyone know why it says some of those classes were cancelled
It's saying some of those courses were canceled.
Looks like for whatever reason, they canceled out a course and then added the exact same course to the catalog that includes the same classes. Maybe it was a change within the courses' content or another bookkeeping issue.

Here's a timeline because timelines get me off:

Northwest region
Pool 2 en route
REP: BO (REP AS sent AT basics email)

TOL - 12/27
TOL acceptance response email - 12/29
EODS / AT Basics - 1/25
EODS approved - 1/26 (never received email, just through the EODS portal)
CIL - 2/14
MMPI-2 - 2/15
Fingerprints - scheduled 2/21
Medical - TBD

Can anyone clue me in on how class dates work? Are you offered 1 date or multiple? How far are they in the future generally? I have a baby boy due in May and I have a house to sell and a bunch of other things to get in line before I can get to OKC...

Lately it seems like people are getting a months notice before the offered class date, and you can request different dates but they tend to be much further away from your original offered class date.

Wait so basics is 25 days and terminal is 35 days so you're not even out there for three months right?

Well those days I believe are Monday through Friday not including weekends so it probably stretches out to close to three months.

I feel like those of us who are done with everything will probably get class dates before October barring any tier 2 type setbacks. I think starting around June and going from there is pretty reasonable to think as plausible.

June/July would be ideal for me but it looks like the last bid is already booking class dates near the end April right now so unless they’re almost done June doesn’t seem that likely... but anything is possible... we have a house to sell too but wouldn’t be able to do that until after I pass... also bringing my whole family... so it’ll be chaotic but we will make it work.
