Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-18-ALLSRCE-57792

Are general estimates okay for the pre-employment questionnaire? Or do we have to be super specific and accurate?

Edit: In terms of medical stuff like diagnoses and when we were prescribed/took meds.

Make sure the dates on your resume align with the dates on your sf86 for employment. This got me a personal interview.

Sorry, should have specified: I mean for the medical stuff like date of diagnoses and when we took meds and etc.

Thanks for all of the help btw!

what the fuck?

Yeah, it's a bit out there. I'm wondering, in today's day and age how much does the FAA care about the gender expression questions? "I have always wished I was a girl," "I like reading mechanics magazines," "I would like to be a florist," "I would like to go hunt lions in Africa." Doesn't seem like it would have much bearing on how well you can control traffic.

The whole point of the MMPI is to help determine inconsistencies and irregularities. My fiancé is a therapist and uses the MMPI to get an idea of an individuals traits, which can then help diagnose different clinical issues if they are showing certain patterns. Biggest thing is don’t try to portray yourself as someone you’re not, the test knows. I took it for my State Police position and when I completed it and did my in person meet, they had it broken down into percentages for likelihood of different mental illnesses. In the end, they just want to ensure you’re mentally healthy to handle the stresses of the job.

Fingerprinting done and mailed out, e-QIP completed, MMPI-2 is tomorrow (after my 7 hour drive one way). Medical appointment is in early March (Only a 3 hour drive one way), and my worksheet is filled out and returned. I think I'm looking good, other than the gas money. Glad I just got a hybrid!

For my fellow veterans, just wanted to let you all know, if they ask for your VA Health/Pharmacy records, you can go to Home - My HealtheVet and request your information. It took literally a minute to download both my VA Health History and Pharmacy records. I submitted them to my POC.
As for my military records, I had to request those records from Quantico and DC, so I hope they send my info over to my POC asap.

I was told my closest facility (KMSN) couldn’t offer the test. My POC was at Minneapolis Center. Called and having my POC switched to KMKE.
Ok, MMPI can be taken at facilities other than centers. Apparently not ever facility. But I would definitely call and inquire with HR before driving 7 hours.

Sorry if this is a dumb question... but I got a noise complaint (I'm in college still) last year and had to pay a fine. Is that something they are going to care about if i include in my sf-86? My representative said it's not a criminal felony or anything ( and im getting it expunged this summer) so I don't have to report it when they ask on job applications...but obviously dont want to leave out something that would bite me later down the line.

To my understanding if it’s a civil fine of less than $300 you don’t need to report it. But better to be cautious imo
