Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-18-ALLSRCE-57792

Do people want to go Cleveland center? I’d love it there but I don’t know about the rest of the world. Basically asking how desired is it?

Both my parents worked there and loved it they are very understaffed I know people there that have to work mandatory overtime frequently. Oberlin is a nice city and isn’t expensive so you don’t have to worry about cost of living or traffic as much as other places like Oakland. And it’s still a level 12 facility so the pay is nice.

I'm Cleveland native, that would be my dream spot. Buddy of mine works in Oberlin and confirmed what controllerfreak said about them being understaffed. I didn't get my TOL though, to this point.
If you know nothing about the area, Cleveland has undergone a pretty huge renaissance and is a fun place to live, best part is the market hasn't changed and housing is still some of the cheapest in the country on average.

How's the weather throughout the year?
Well, yesterday was 40 and today was 70... there's nothing predictable about Cleveland weather really, lol. Spring and Fall are total crap shoots, sometimes winter too. But generally 80s in summer, and cold (0-30s) in winter with a handful of snowstorms. Usually not quite as bad as say, Chicago.

And Boots, good job posting that 10 year old, sarcastic video. It's like the slightly more modern but still totally outdated equivalent of people saying "LOL THE RIVER CATCHES FIRE THERE, LOL"

There's a reason that there is a disproportionate amount of astronauts from Ohio. The state is so bad that they will do whatever it takes to get as far away as possible.

Who's still alive and waiting for clearances

Just waiting on medical here, got an email over the weekend stating my medical had been reviewed and before it can be completed the flight surgeon wants a Basic Metabolic Panel Lab Test. Hopefully that means everything I already did send was ok and then I can get that sent to them by next week and then that will be it? So close....
