Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-18-ALLSRCE-57792

I don't know. FOL said last day of class is expected to be 9/27.
FWIW on my FOL it said expected end date 9/3 and that’s what I booked my place for and then on my welcome packet it says class ends 8/30.. still don’t know what is correct lol guess I’ll find out on day one tomorrow

Having issues filling out my sf-86 and trouble reaching my POC.

I was a student for six years (Bachelors/master's) would move/switch around schools a lot. Even though I listed that I attended such and such schools on specific dates in the education section, should I also list these dates on the employment section or leave them empty?

Should I label it as an unemployment or other?

Do I need to provide confirmation of people that knew me at those schools?

Can I use the same person multiple times?

Has anyone been denied an SF-86 for periods of unemployment? Took a year off to pursue a career in Actuary (Mathematical statistic studying/taking exams at home) and can't really provide much references for this time period outside of my closest friends/family.

I was self employed and used friends to as references to validate my self employment on SF-86. You cannot use the same person multiple times.

I listed multiple periods of unemployment when I was in school and not also working a job at the same time. I listed the same person every time for instances of unemployment. If you're not working a paying job and its in the time window that they're asking for, list that time period as unemployed. Just make sure you're listing the places you lived during these periods of time in the addresses section. You will be fine, I had larger than a year of unemployment after college where I went home and helped family and I had no issues with my SF-86.

Contradicting advice, not sure which one is correct. I did some more reading and have found that people did use the same person multiple times, as long as it wasn't one of their close references or family.

Just accepted May 31st en route! Was offered May 10th first but asked for an extension, since my college graduation is next week and I would’ve missed it had I accepted the 10th. My timeline is:

Applied July 27th 2018
ATSA October 25th 2018
Referred December 6th 2018
TOL December 21st 2018
CIL February 12th 2019
Released e-QIP February 22nd 2019
MMPI-2 February 25th 2019
Medical February 27th 2019
Drug test February 28th 2019
Class date offered May 10th 2019
Class date accepted May 31st 2019

FWIW, seemed like I was waiting forever on my medical to clear for someone with basically no medical history, so reached out to the email address shown for my specific flight surgeon’s office and they got back to me in a couple days telling me I’d just been cleared. This was this past Tuesday, got my class offer yesterday. I’m not SUGGESTING you do this, but, for what it’s worth ?

Same. I called my Medical POC who said I was cleared so I then reached out to my HR POC saying that medical had cleared and asked if I was waiting on anything else and she sent and email saying "No" and a date. Squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Follow instructions and do NOT use the same person more than once. Don't go by what others did, they may have gotten lucky.
