Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-18-ALLSRCE-57792

Has anyone received an email to sign up for the AT-SA? I just took it in October for last years bid
Nope. Does your status change once you get the ATSA email?

What did you guys answer for #5 on the last part of the application(Those with no CTI degree or aviation related educatioin)? I was looking back at it and I think I may have screwed it up.... lol. I'm asking because I can't see what the drop down answers were for that question and I can't remember.

No, I have not earned an Air Traffic Control degree from a CTI school.
Then the rest of the question says Not Answered.
Worked fine for me the other 2 applications.

idk why i put "No, but I have aviation related education from a non-CTI affiliated school.", when I should have just picked the answer you picked... :/.

Oh well, I'll have to wait and see what happens. Thanks for the response!

No, my status changed from ‘Received’ to ‘Referred’ after I took and passed the AT-SA. I did not hear anything after that and after about 3-4 months, my status changed from ‘Referred’ to ‘Not Hired’

My status hasn't changed yet on USA jobs. Would I be disqualified if I said that I was applying under 3 years of work experience and also the combination of work experience and education? I have over 3 years of work experience as well as my bachelors and MBA so I figured I would select both, was that a big mistake?

No, that should be fine. It just asks both questions, it doesn't say to pick one or the other.

I wonder what their criteria was to sort out the applicants. I qualified for the N90 AT-SA, so I am curious if I did as well for this bid.

In recent years, HR hasn't qualified candidates like this, except for the New York TRACON bid. In that one, 1460 Applied, 858 were system qualified(ie passed the BQ, and had enough work experience that the system didnt boot them), 715 were HR qualified, 715 were invited to take the ATSA.

Any idea how many they intend to invite to OKC of those 715?

That would depend on how many pass the atsa with an 80+ score. If they feel they need more than that, they will dip down into the 70-79 band.

So my status changed from received to reviewed. Unfortunately I was not eligible for further consideration. Thinking about giving them a call just to see why I was ineligible. I met all the requirements. 24 years old with 6years work experience. Used the USA jobs resume builder so I know I sent all the required information. I was under the impression that if you met the basic qualifications you would atleast get to take the ATSA but I guess not.

Which bid did you apply for?

I applied to the OTS bid as well, no change in status yet. Hoping that's a good sign still. @MagioX1, what exactly did it say for you? My application for the 2017 OTS bid explicitly says I didn't pass the BA.

I applied for the July 27th OTS bid. I'm away from my PC right now but I did not get an email either. Just when I login on USA jobs to check the status it says reviewed and ineligible because I didn't meet the qualifications. When I get back to my PC I'll see if I can copy the exact message.

Same here. I applied to the same bid, and my status has not changed from received. Hopefully that’s a good sign.* Fingers crossed* @MagioX1 maybe you answered a question incorrectly on the application portion, or it could be simply that your resume didn’t match up with the systems (unknown) keywords. It’s what prescreens resumes before they are forwarded to HR.

I triple checked my application before I submitted it. Does anyone know whether, if there was a simple mistake made, there is a chance I could get my application re-evaluated?

My status on both USAJobs and the FAA site says received.

Not sure what that means for now, but I guess it's better to have that than reviewed and not selected! If they've already gone through all the 7-8k applications that's pretty impressive.

Doubtful. They need some way to eliminate people. Improperly filling out the application is the easiest way. (not say that you did this)

Does anyone know how they determined the HR qualified individuals? Was it like a 3.0 GPA for college grads and some work experience? Just curious, although anyone that knows may not be able to share it.
