Benefits while in the Academy?

When do benefits kick in while in the academy? I have read people making TSP contributions and such, but do not remember if/when academy attendees become eligible for benefits. Anyone know?

You’re eligible for full TSP/health/dental/life insurance etc. benefits day 1 at the Academy. HR will come in and explain everything first thing.

Thanks. I assumed this but wanted some definitive answer because my wife has to redo her annual insurance stuff at work. Just wanted to make sure I was right in telling her to take me off everything.

Solid Advice. I quit my job when I got my TOL, back in 12/2018. Wanted to be all in on the life.

I quit mine in 2017 once they said I was eligible to take the ATSA.... here I am still tier 2. Brightside, public library computers aren't bad.

I'm considering getting my PHD in psychology currently. I wonder if medical will accept a self performed evaluation with my PHD self awarded via University of Public Library... is that what they mean by school of hard knocks?
