Hiring Bid FAA-ATO-19-ALLSRCE-61676

En route basics finished up today. 12/13 passed, tentative academy dates starting January 15th through the 28th, we were split into 3 groups. Starting next phase next Friday.

Our class is going to have the EOC next week, what can we expect?
They may tell you that there are no multiple answer questions on the test.

That is a lie.

It is the exact same format as the block tests, but the questions are the next step in difficulty. You'll need to know how to apply the terms and concepts you've learned in new situations and non-standard contexts/definitions.

Some of the questions were written terribly and had no correct answer the way they were written. You will not get to see what questions you got wrong, only your final score.

Class sizes at the academy are only 6-8 right now so your basics class will likely get split up, with some individuals split off to fill in spaces from failed members of earlier classes.

Good luck.

Those of you still waiting, has your drug test expired? Do we just wait for HR or medical to ask us to retake it? Or should we send them an email?

It looks like it has been awhile since anyone waiting has actually moved forward from this bid. Has anyone onboarded after 10/01?
FAA training catalog showing no new basics classes starting until 1/19/21, and then about one a week from then on. Guessing onboarding won’t be anymore than 1-2 weeks out from basics classes now since they saw how big of a shit show it was for people to be sitting around for 3 months waiting for a basics class.

There’s no reason they shouldn’t onboard people the first day of basics. Like they used to

Accountability maybe, and the time it takes to ship a new iPad? And maybe time to answer questions about how online basics will work. Who knows, they could start onboarding the first day of basics starting next year too.
