Hiring Bid FAA-ATO-19-ATCEXP-61675

Another person on here said previous FAA CPC's would take much longer (6-9months). I'm curious the reason (maybe further investigation into the re-hire-ability?)

Well I can't say that I'm upset about leaving since the FAA messed up the NCEPT process even worse than it was. Good luck to everyone and hope the second wave comes sooner rather than later.

Reached out via email to my HR rep asking if they had a timeframe or update on CIL and/or process and got this response within 15 minutes. Maybe the facilities aren't the only ones understaffed. Though, it sounds like she at least has my CIL info on her end so hopefully I'll get it soonish.

"Hello,

We process our workload based on when it was received and I have several other pressing items at this moment that are far ahead of your CIL. Please remain to be patient and I will send out your CIL as soon as I am able to."

Got this email yesterday rescinding my TOL based on my DOS from the Air Force. Anyone on here in the same boat and/or have any advice on trying to get it back? Currently deployed, but with out-processing and terminal leave I could be out Feb 1st. Going to email the rep either way to get some more info.

“On 7/9/2019, you received a tentative offer letter for the air traffic control specialist position advertised under vacancy announcement FAA-ATO-19-ATCEXP-61675.

The Air Traffic Organization has an urgent need for air traffic controllers and has elected to rescind your tentative offer based on your employment availability date of 3/17/2020. For active duty military personnel, we use the actual separation date not the terminal leave date.”

"The Air Traffic Organization has an urgent need for air traffic controllers" *proceeds to not hire prior FAA CPC*

To be fair, the announcement did stipulate "If you are a current military member in active duty service, you must submit a copy of your DD Form-214, or written documentation (certification) from your branch of service certifying that you are expected to be discharged or released from active duty under honorable conditions no later than 120 days after the date the certification is submitted." I don't think you have an appeal claim for this bid given that your separation date is more than 6 months away from today.

Yeah I knew even after the TOL that it would probably get taken back. I also know that some have gotten TOLs, rescinded, and then given back. So I’m going to give it a whirl.

There's always a magical cutoff date for availability. I separate in November, and HR told me that made the cutoff by a few weeks. I guess the cutoff is in December.

That I understand. However, 3 people said they've gotten Entrance On Duty System (EODS) emails which is received with/after the FOL email.

That is what I found odd. Last years bid was the TOL. then the CIL and then after all cleared was the FOL. never the EODS, This is the first I have heard of the EODS. all they wanted from me on the EODS was the drug test acknowledgment and the OF 306. I am thinking I should get a CIL next but I am not sure what is next.

In 2015 when I went through, EODS was about a week before FOL but after verbal acceptance of the position.. and I had around 7 forms. FEGLI, SF-181, SF-144, Unemployment Insurance, etc. This time there was only 2. I am not sure what the path is for me seeing as how I am technically transferring from SysOps within ATO and am already a 2152. When I called HR, they weren't sure, either. Not sure what the path is for anyone at this point, lol.
