Hopefully my asshole ex-boss doesn’t fuck me over lolchecked with my previous employers today they said they received the background check letter last week this is what it looks like.
no clue :/ probably general consensus id assume since they go 10 years backHopefully my asshole ex-boss doesn’t fuck me over lol
do they go with a general consensus or is one bad one enough to disqualify me?
So are we supposed to put a supervisor or a coworker? My supervisors probably don’t remember me from my old jobs as I never worked closely with themchecked with my previous employers today they said they received the background check letter last week this is what it looks like.
Bruuuh this would blow if a boss doesnt recommend you and thats the reason why you dont move on with the process.Hopefully my asshole ex-boss doesn’t fuck me over lol

Thats where im sketched out about, most of my supervisors quit or left the jobs i had...So are we supposed to put a supervisor or a coworker? My supervisors probably don’t remember me from my old jobs as I never worked closely with them
Same here. So would we just have it sent to HR who could confirm employment or send it to someone’s personal address if they don’t work there anymore?Thats where im sketched out about, most of my supervisors quit or left the jobs i had...
Supervisor first if they remember you, otherwise coworker or the number for HR. if you can't find contact info for any of those, a friend or family member that can corroborate the dates you worked there will work, that's what I had to do for gig jobs I had. But any regular W2 job, definitely try to list either a supervisor, coworker, or HR.So are we supposed to put a supervisor or a coworker? This is gonna be a pain in the ass... I’ve been fired from 2 and left some bc of school ? I’ve had petty bosses too so this will be fun ?it asks on the EQIP if the address youre sending to is the same as where you were employed. I personally sent it to the same addresses but got in touch before hand with the people currently working there and let them know what's up. luckily I've never burned any bridges so it was all good responses from the person currently in charge.
Thanks for the information. What happens if they don’t get anything back from an employer? Some of the places I’ve worked at have closed for goodSupervisor first if they remember you, otherwise coworker or the number for HR. if you can't find contact info for any of those, a friend or family member that can corroborate the dates you worked there will work, that's what I had to do for gig jobs I had. I just listed their personal phone number and address in that case. They don't have to currently work at whatever company you listed. Thanks for the information. Does it matter if we list a personal address for a coworker that doesn’t work there anymore?
It depends on the amount of time you worked there. If its under a month, they might overlook if you have lengthy employment history elsewhere. They don't always expect each form to be returned which is why they ask for references. The investigators ask the same questions on the mailed form if they have to call any references from what I've heard from other people. What happens if they don’t get anything back from an employer? Even if you say no, you have to sign a release allowing them to contact your employer for the sake for the investigation. Theres no getting around it unfortunately. That's why you can list the HR number or a coworker.Do they contact your current employer if you do not want them to? I’m worried my employer would be upset/ caught off guard at receiving some sort of form for another job. I know on previous job applications you can elect them not to contact your current employer.
