I’m truly envious. Our Zoom meetings consist of a 25-40 minute power point each day that begins after 10 minutes of trying to reach one person who couldn’t drag their phone off the nightstand to call in before falling back asleep, stretched out to 3 hours by tossing in 3 30-minute breaks & waiting 3 minutes for someone to walk back into the room that has their iPad and realize that a question needs to be answered.

I’ve shit on a lot of trainees on this site, but I truly feel bad for you all. Not only is it stupid, it’s going to breed a generation of complacent controllers. To most it’s no fault of their own. I’m glad I got hired when I did because I don’t know if I could stay focused enough to deal with that online bullshit. Keep your head in it as much as you can. And just remember, you relearn everything when you get to your facility/on the floor anyway

(2) IMPOSITION OF FEES TO COVER COSTS.— (A) FEES.—The Administrator of General Services or the head of the Federal agency under paragraph (1)(B) shall charge fees to the individuals who use the battery recharging station in such amount as is necessary to ensure that the respective agency recovers all of the costs such agency incurs in installing, constructing, operating, and maintaining the station.

That's literally the hypocrisy I'm talking about: how can you say "this is a forum for professionals" and let him ramble about the most inane bullshit, then delete a post when I call it out? Step up the moderation or just say anything goes, don't half ass it. I posted about this a long time ago: if the mods keep this up then they're hypocritical and want page views, or it's possible one of the mods literally is PushingTin.

Since they don't specify employees, I wonder if that would only apply to the public use of the stations.

Oh man, I didn’t see what was deleted and what is still up but complaining about a Mod decision on any discussion website is like a 7 year old little league baseball player fresh out of T-ball complaining to the 16 year old umpire a strike should have been a ball, it’s just never going go change the decision.

Meh. Traffic will come back eventually, and some people who certified during rona traffic will come out shining and others will be given a break before it gets busy.

Traffic is not coming back overnight anyways. I’d like to see how many CPCs at facilities where traffic is slow right now would have at least one little oops if it got busy the next day. Probably a lot more than care to admit. Skill decay is a real thing and CPCs are not immune.

Meh. Traffic will come back eventually, and some people who certified during rona traffic will come out shining and others will be given a break before it gets busy.

Traffic is not coming back overnight anyways. I’d like to see how many CPCs at facilities where traffic is slow right now would have at least one little oops if it got busy the next day. Probably a lot more than care to admit. Skill decay is a real thing and CPCs are not immune.

Honestly more errors happen in times like these. This isn’t my first multi month break from work, and coming back is always...interesting. But I think muscle memory snaps back pretty quick. At least for me

I advanced the max amount of sick leave (240hrs) once, got down to around 100 hours then maxed out again.

Man that’s crazy. My buddy today said they literally take attendance and then everybody leaves with how his facility’s doing it. Seems like there really are no standards, just however each facility feels like doing it. I think it’s pretty clear the whole thing is just busy work to try and argue against potential furloughs.
