Weekly NATCA update

You can stay longer.
We don't need the social security supplement.
They can average 5 years now they can just stay longer.

Mark my words

Because this administration is talking about giving raises…
They are talking about pay, but they're also saying "after you certify, you make on average 160k. So you can be 24, 23 years old, making a great salary, as an air traffic controller."

Soo, it's also possible that they're committed to pushing that lie, and not giving us shit.

I feel like Mick came the closest when he talked about retention and incentivizing is to stay past the minimum retirement age.
I’m surprised the union would want to consider this at all for the same reason they typically don’t for age extensions. They don’t potentially want our early retirement/good time to be viewed as unjustified.

If only we had someone to correct that statement for them and provide an accurate measurement for our compensation.

Well the union made 0 responses to that statement and made 5000 responses to the admin talking about DEI hires.

So yes if the narrative being pushed is we make 160,000 a year at 23 and there’s no pushback it will be harder to ask for more
