I don't blame employees for taking a grand to come in and fill out a five minute email to increase government efficiency.
I guess I'm just always shocked by how spineless management is complying with a very obviously illegal order.

Since NATCA is incompetent and unable to provide guidance, Here is much better guidance from FMF.
"Dear Members,
Many of you have been sent emails from OPM, asking you to respond by tonight with a list of items you have accomplished in your position this past week. In addition, over the weekend, many superiors have sent conflicting emails, instructing you to not respond to the original OPM emails. Some of you didn’t receive a single email. Be thankful!
There has been a lot of confusion within our ranks. So, seeking answers, I called our new Feds for Freedom Vice President Kevin McAfee and our General Counsel Scott Lloyd.
Now…Scott’s thoughts do not act as legal advice. Scott has not seen the original emails, including your superiors’. It’s unclear what authority OPM has to require this information, and it’s unclear what authority the superiors claim to have to override OPM. The highest authority is the White House. But, that doesn’t give a clear answer in this case.
What a time to be a federal employee!
There are three ways you could respond to these events.
1. Kevin received the 5-point OPM email Sunday. Today, Kevin received a communication from his Command, asking him to put a pause on responding to the DOGE email. Following instructions from his superiors that he perceives to be within legal bounds, Kevin has decided not to respond to the OPM email at this time.
2. If Scott were a federal employee, he would respond to OPM, as he believes it is riskier not to respond. But there are two ways you could go about it. The first would be to “respond by not responding.” Tell OPM you’ve been instructed by your superior not to respond. Copy the email or communication (screenshot if needed) with time stamps and superior names, and send it to OPM in an email.
3. Another way federal employee Scott might respond, would be by giving OPM the information for which they’ve asked. He would also include a statement about how he’s been asked by his superior not to respond to the email, and include that communication, the time stamp, and the name of the superior. Let them duke it out.
Lastly, if an employee is inclined to exercise either option 2 or 3, it is best to wait until the last moment possible, as it appears that discussions are occurring between OPM and the various agencies. The agencies seem to know that there is a midnight deadline and they are working to have additional follow-up guidance that is timely.
We know some of our members are very concerned. There’s no clear answer here. But hopefully this will encourage you all in the decision you have made."

-Personally, I don't know why anyone would answer the email without clear direction from their supervisor via an assignment of work. Perhaps an assignment of work in writing. Then, It should take at least two hours to complete the assignment.

I actually thought about calling in and asking to be put on 'offsite detail' instead of annual so I could swing in to a tower around here and log in to my FAA email.
