Did your HR rep notify you?Just been told I ve been cleared everything from my CIL. Any idea what’s next
HR said she had all but medical. I emailed medical they said I’m clear as well. Waiting on them to send to CGDid your HR rep notify you?
They will do a vision test. Let them know. Bring your prescription. Least that’s what I would doSo I have my medical tomorrow and went to get glasses last week. Problem is now their saying they won’t be ready until March, will this be a problem when I go to my exam tomorrow?
If you don't have 20/20 then yes. I don't think showing them your prescription is going to work. Why is it taking so long? I order my glasses on Zenni. #shillSo I have my medical tomorrow and went to get glasses last week. Do you have contacts or an older pair? They will test you and you have to pass their parameters with your corrected vision. So I have my medical tomorrow and went to get glasses last week. So my near vision was just below 20/20, my medical examiner said to go get glasses, I got glasses, then the person that was reviewing my medical said 20/50 near with or without correction is okaySo I have my medical tomorrow and went to get glasses last week. Oh okay, my vision is 20/30 in 20/25 in the other. Not sure why the glasses are taking so long. Hopefully I can just explain everything to the flight surgeon tomorrow. I don’t usually wear glasses. So my near vision was just below 20/20, my medical examiner said to go get glasses, I got glasses, then the person that was reviewing my medical said 20/50 near with or without correction is okay
You're going to the AME, and it will likely just be a nurse that does the vision test. You never actually talk to the flight surgeon. If you cannot read the 20/20 line on the eye chart they are supposed to fail your medical until you can get that corrected.Oh okay, my vision is 20/30 in 20/25 in the other. It depends on how bad your vision is with your old prescription I suppose, my old one worked just fine. I recently got my prescription updated but opted to wear my old contacts and had the glasses (with new prescription) in my back pocket just in case. I disclosed this to my AME and he said lets give it a shot with the contacts. I attempted to read the line he asked with each eye individually and I got different answers so I knew I got a few wrong - so he asked a different higher up line. I read it then told him I can put my glasses on and probably read the line he asked initially. He said I passed anyways and not to worry about getting the glasses out.So I have my medical tomorrow and went to get glasses last week. If you pass the test anyways they can note you have glasses but they might not be a requirement of your medical. Some flight docs have the chart like in the lobby so you can study it while you wait. Old pilots gotta study. So I have my medical tomorrow and went to get glasses last week. I also received a similar email!Received some great news from HR today.
“You are cleared and pending a class seat assignment. Currently classes are filled through May. Once a class becomes available for you, you will be contacted by phone or email.”
So now we wait..... hopefully class dates come soon!
I had to ask for my clearances. Nothing was volunteered to me.For those of you who have gotten cleared by the flight surgeon, were you notified or did you find out by emailing your HR rep?
Yes, because they are going to send you another form to fill out in between sending the email and going to the appointment with your AME. You can schedule now but don't set the date for less than ten days from the time you send off the email. I scheduled 11 days out and then sent the email that same day.Hey yall i have a question. Im going to send out my pre employment interview worksheet, on there it states "Please adhere to the 10 days and do not make the appointment any sooner than 10 days from the date that the completed interview sheet is emailed back."
does this mean they want you to schedule your medical test AFTER ten days of sending the email?
Thank you!!!Yes, because they are going to send you another form to fill out in between sending the email and going to the appointment with your AME.
