Hiring Bid FAA-ATO-20-ALLSRCE-65607

Anyone in the Oregon/ southern Washington area here? I’m trying to get my fingerprints scheduled and it’s becoming a hassle. The sheriff’s office is booked out until September lol and it seems like no one in the surrounding counties can do it or the wait is way too long. Is there anywhere I just haven’t thought of?
I found a place! Thanks for the tip!
Glad you found a place. I’m in Central Oregon. Ended up using a private fingerprinting service. Also, took my MMPI in Eugene and did my medical exam in Vancouver.

I think I’ll be doing my medical exam in Vancouver, but I scheduled my MMPI in Spokane, PDX didn’t answer and I called Spokane just to see and the guy picked up there lol. As far as fingerprints go, I’m using a 3rd party I found here in Vancouver.... so luckily it’s working out. I thought we had to use a law enforcement agency for some reason (or the FAA).... so I’m glad that wasn’t the case. How was the process of doing your medical here?

My gut tells me next week were going to see some more dates being sent out.

I'm curious, what do you guys think about putting your two-weeks notice in once you get a date but before an FOL?

I guess it depends. My boss knows my “start date” but I have no idea if I onboard before that or what so I’m waiting to give her my official notice until I know for sure when my last day will be. I’ve communicated to her that as of now, my start date is May 3rd, but she knows I won’t tell her what my last day will be until I get my official FOL. Don’t wanna put in a notice and have my start date get pushed back or something.

Makes sense. My current job is not a career so it's not a huge loss to quit, but my situation is gonna require me to do a lot of work to prepare to go to the academy eventually and ultimately move out of state. And I want the biggest head start on getting squared aware for that lol. But if I was "unemployed" for a couple months, i wonder if they would even care?

Mine also isn’t a career either. I just am trying to work at my current job up until a week or so prior to starting with the FAA so I can save up as much money as possible. Who knows how long we’ll be on AG pay now that training everywhere is backlogged.

Any vague idea after getting the virtual onboarding date, when you will get the date for the academy. Also, how does the pay works?

I submitted my SF-86 last week, and my current supervisor and previous supervisors received their forms to fill out TODAY! It seems like some things move much quicker than I expect with this process!

In what context? You’ll have to Put it in medsxpress and your medical will say you have to wear glasses to work.
Just in general. I have always worn glasses so I'm not sure if that is considered a medical condition that I would write down. I have no other known medical conditions so I was curious as to what to write down.

Is this for your medical? There isn’t directly a question that asks if you wear glasses?

My gut has been telling me that for the last four weeks. I think my gut is wrong.

But I do have a good feeling about next week being a new month.

It's for the pre-employment interview. There is not a direct glasses question. I would assume the Med-Ex has such a question, but I have yet to receive it.
Edit: I emailed the 9-agl email address and asked them this and they replied back to me that it is not considered a medical condition. As long as I can prove I can see 20/20 or 20/24 with both eyes. Just asked me to take my glasses or contacts with me to the exam.
