Hiring Bid FAA-ATO-20-ALLSRCE-65607

It won’t be. Only for the guy that doesn’t like cold
So if I just tell them that I "really hate the cold" and beg them not to send me somewhere cold, they'll end up sending me somewhere that isn't in the scorching heat? This seems too easy. TBH I just don't want to live on the west coast, so that means I'm only going to get Oakland or LA.

No if you tell them that they’ll send you to Oakland

Since we are on the topic of getting what we want, from the last few posts it looks like they will start handing out terminal classes instead.

why do people always seem to prefer en-route? better/higher pay? terminal has far more options in terms of facilities
Probably because you start at a higher pay band and have to do less hoping around than terminal to finally reach that band. Plus you save yourself from being stuck somewhere else at a lower pay band for a while due to NCEPT.

Yesssss because if you go terminal you’ll be sent to a lvl 5 up down and be stuck for 6+Yrs just trying to up your career while academy grads and previous experience hires go to all the facilities you’re applying for direct ? NCEPT is a joke….

Another appeal with enroute is you’re guaranteed to end up in a medium to large sized city. With terminal, you could end up in the middle of Bumblefuck, Fucksville making nearly $100K less than your enroute buddies. Cities aren’t for everyone obviously, but being close to various necessities is helpful.

As long as you have a loose definition of "in the city"
