I beauty of it is I don’t have to think if I know what a hostile working environment is. I have lived it and been in deployed before. What happens on a control room floor has no shock or awe value to me as I have been through much worse in combat.

I was simply speaking on others that are non military and haven’t developed that thickened skin yet.

Here’s the thing, you can either be helpful or just be a put down.. that’s all it is.
Ah yes, because you need to be in the military to have thick skin.

Watch it you may cause him to have a hostile work environment.

Dude doesn’t realize nothing he’s done up to this point means anything when he gets to OKC. Instructors will knock him down a few pegs for sure.

Oh wow I didn't even see that he just got a TOL. Yikes... Also he's been employed by the government for 14 years, so he started working for the government, at the latest, at 17 years old assuming he's 31? Ahung1

If he's prior military, he'd have a bit longer than 31 though, right?

I’ll always be proud of my military service. If it makes you feel good mocking a veteran for being proud of his country and being proud for his service go right ahead, that’s your right.

Anything you say or do won’t bother me one bit nor change how I feel about my military service.

Can we focus on the reason why this forum was created? I get there is emotions involved and all but the main point of this forum is to get questions answered and assist each other along the way of becoming ATC. Anything else at this point is pointless and not productive to discuss.

Lol when did I mock your military service… I didn’t I’m saying this attitude that you have is not gonna help you as you enter this career field. You can keep assuming stuff though. I’m proud of all military members and their families for the sacrifice they put forward for our great nation.

From your comments and messages about “hostile work environment” and “I don’t care what others think of me” you will soon learn a lot of the training process has to do with what people think of you. No one wants to train someone who throws out “hostile work environment” and has the attitude of “i don’t care what you think about me” speaking from what I’ve seen firsthand

Married, three month old baby. Luckily she works from home so I guess we'll do whatever "family" living situation there is.

Married, 3 dogs, 3 cats, 20 chickens, 9 horses.

I’m still trying to figure out how this will work lol.
Oh boy! You planning on moving the whole gang while you're training in OKC? My wife plans to keep working and pack up and move after I know where I'm going, assuming everything clears

So how many of y'all are married? Wondering what the split looks like and for those of us that are what your wife/GF or what have you think about all this?
Not married, but engaged. This whole process kinda came out of left field for me so he's adjusting to the idea. Always wanted to move, though.
Similar to everyone else, he will wait at home until I hopefully get assigned somewhere.
