Anyone have any insight on going through the process of your class 2 certificate being deferred due to being too recent since your last physical or something like that? Basically had my physical for the faa had to do another one for class 2 for contract and now I’m waiting due to being deferred. I can’t get through to anyone in OKC on the status or the process or anything.

Weird. I did 2 in the course of 3 months and had no issues. Any idea why they pinged you? I did do my one for contracting first though

Yeah if the one for contract was first it wouldn’t have been a problem. I believe they have me on ice because my one for the faa hasn’t been approved yet so the one for contract had to be deferred to review it further. I have no clue I’m just over this federal process of not being able to talk to anyone and you’re just expected to wait in limbo

I will tell you my co workers class 2 got differed to OKC for review because of some surgery and it’s been like 2 months and some change and they haven’t said anything. I really

Yep I've called and left my info twice. Once the beginning of June and again the other day. Still no call back.

Any reply/update from medical? I cant get them to reply back at all, have sent emails and left voicemails and nadda.

Reached out to HR and they were able to tell me I cleared MMPI at least but medical is stuck at "Pending Review"

This worries me. I am waiting on medical for the FAA to clear. Same situation. Been over two months of waiting and not getting any answers. Today I received a tentative offer for a contracting job. Will this happen to me too when I go to do my flight physical?

Reach out to your AME and explain to them what’s going on and have them reach out to the FAA. I ran into this issue too and my AME called while I was in the office. 3 weeks later I was issued a new class 2 via the mail

Reach out to your AME and explain to them what’s going on and have them reach out to the FAA. I ran into this issue too and my AME called while I was in the office. 3 weeks later I was issued a new class 2 via the mail

Unfortunately I believe so. You’ll have to go back to an AME for your class 2 certificate physical. The physical is easier than the one we had to do for the FAA but when they go to put it in the system it’ll probably get deferred like mine did. Hopefully not the case for you if you did your physical for the FAA a while ago but I was told if it’s within 90 days it won’t let the AME issue the class 2 certificate when they go to put it in the system. It seems like other people have been through this so check the forum for some hopeful solutions

They will eventually answer. I’d call during odd hours, that’s not 0800.

Hopefully not. We’ve been on the upward trend for a while now, so last month would be a real downer. We’ll see.

Stay away from downtown. Can't give too to many suggestions as I've only visited, but downtown has gotten pretty nasty.

Thanks! They gave me 28 Aug or 11 Sep, so I went with the September date. Haven't received the firm offer letter yet.
