November (Q1) 2023

There's a decent number of ERR's in the system for A80, they just aren't eligible to release. Also when you guys pick up everybody that has decent radar experience every single panel, they aren't in the pool for next panel like they would be at a place like CLT or F11 so you constantly need new applicants from other well staffed radar places but all the big house TRACONs are hurting. A lot of people are also probably turned off by the 44% success rate and no NEST policy.
Exactly, a lot of these places were shit holes before NCEPT and will be shit holes after NCEPT. A80 ain't special

Yeah, but look at all the OT you are getting!!
After working 7.5 of the last 10 years here, with a minimum of 40 assigned OTs each year as a non volunteer, it isn’t worth it. I’d rather spend time with my family than be at work more than 40 hours a week.

BGM has radar, but they work about a paltry 80 ops a day haha
My apologies to them as I nor anyone else here realized they had an approach. Lol

I’m just glad SCT isn’t getting all the BGM rockstars. Save some for everyone else.

All of those none's came from facilities who couldn't release legitimately to in-grades/downgrades so they were probably ART 124 moves ( I think that's the right ART without looking it up)
Didn’t take long for people to start using this article after the ZMA > ZDV move a few panels ago. IIRC that was the first time anyone had used that article under NCEPT.

I think 2 panels ago there was an A124 ZNY to CLT that caught my eye. I didn't even know that article existed before I saw that move. Honestly I'm surprised more of the ZNY/N90 guys aren't using it to finish out their careers at a less stressful country club

I would imagine this article will be more and more common especially as the end of the contract nears.

Almost everyone at ZNY and N90 who has been CPC for at least 15 years has a family and strong ties to the region. it's a hard sell to move your whole family, take your kids to a new school, sell your house, and become a trainee again when you're less than 10 years from retirement.
