How do return rights work? Have a couple sectors at new facility not fully certified but looking to go back to previous facility . Would I go back to old area or new one ?

TLDR: Withdraw from training and there is a fast track back to prior facility. If it’s a center I’m not too such or big TRACON I’m not too sure on the area but I imagine it’s the same.

There’s nothing in the procedures on area assignment. That will just be up to your old facility. But if they’re less than 100 projected you can bypass the nest and fast track back. You just have to declare your withdrawal to the atm in writing.

Any other reinstatement people get told their security clearance is under further scrutiny due to having quit the agency?
Negative, but I transferred to DoD and was queried if there was a break in service lol. Curious though, keep us posted.

How long did it take from when you sent the initial email to request reinstatement did you get a reply? I am at a week and I know how hiring in general takes time just trying to get a rough estimate

Sent in my request beginning of October. Never got a reply until I started emailing every day after a month and a half. Only update they currently have for me is that I am in the screening process.

Did you apply for the prior experience bid?

I applied for the prior experience bid in September and applied for CPC reinstatement once they announced the new policy. Got picked up on prior experience bid but never heard back from the CPC reinstatement application.

I did apply for the prior experience but I f***ed up and did not include one of the required SF50's. Hoping a new prior experience bid opens up soon. Still heard nothing from Reinstatement.

I applied to for reinstatement direct to facility just before they put the new SOP out but haven't heard anything. I'm on the latest prior bid and they told me my security clearance from 5ish years ago is still good.

It could be because they called your old ATM/supervisor and they gave a bad rap. I'm on good terms with my old ATM, they called her less than a week after I applied asking questions.

I spoke to OKC HR this week to get an update on my packet. I had submitted everything in January and received word that the district had approved it a few weeks later. Then crickets. Apparently my packet is being sent as a package with others at the end of this month for final approval from the ATO. I asked about the new restrictions on level movements (I'm trying to go from a 9 to a 10) and the HR rep said there is nothing official but they have seen multiple people being denied recently for this reason. It's up to the discretion of the VP responsible. They said it could still be case-by-case and it's worth sending the packet anyway.

Did you resign and then reapply? What did that process look like?

I transferred to DoD, just applied to 2152 jobs on USAJOBS and got one, then my stuff transferred just like any federal employee.

Email [email protected], and check the reinstatement SOP. I am going through the reinstatement process at the moment and am chilling in Tier 2 land. I do not have to go back to my previous facility because it has been more than one year.

have you just been resending the same email lol? I just submitted mine today. I cant imagine there are a ton of people trying to do this but who knows!

Someone I know got their reinstatement list and turned it down. They were told as a result "you're barred from applying to any announcement for a year". Didn't see anything about this in the SOP. Does anyone know is that just a general rule including prior exp lists as well?
