Thanks.

Under the ERR MOU nothing is used. The sample file is from southern region HR.

Edit: oh and appreciate the thanks. Click the like button in the forum index to help spread the word!

This is probably a really stupid question, but where do you find the open bids for ERRs, besides the "always" open locations like N90 or C90.

There aren't any continuous open bids except for N90/C90 right now. All other ERRs are done through the NCEPT. The NCEPT KSN site has a monthly post that shows the ranking of facility priority. That's your best source to see where there are openings.

One of the main goals of the new ERR MOU was to do away with bids and get facility staffing numbers up strictly through ERRs. If facilities still are not able to get bodies in the door via NCEPT, then a bid (theoretically) would be posted on USAJobs.gov.

Got it, that makes much more sense. I am not looking or close to leaving anytime soon, I just was curious where to find all that information since people are always talking about it.

Quick question in regards to submitting the actual err package. Is it preferred to fax your package into hr or snail mail? Also, does the package go to the hr of the facility that you are wanting to err to or to your current hr?

Fax it. Your current regional HR.

It's probably because it's tangible when faxed, as opposed to an email, which would need to be printed.

Per Article 42,Section 5. Employees desiring consideration for placement to a specific bargaining unit position at a specific facility may make voluntary application for transfers to facilities of the same, lower, or higher Facility Pay Level (FPL) by submitting the appropriate forms as outlined in Agency directives to the Human Resource Management Division having jurisdiction over the position(s). The type of position applied for and specific location must be stated.

You can do it like that if you want, but it's not going to make a difference, besides make more work for yourself. You could send it to whatever region you wanted really, they all input into the same system.

Maybe just a carry over from the old ERR system/process then...?

If my current facility doesn't meet the cat 1 or 2 staffing numbers should I still put in an ERR? Whenever the staffing number gets to that point would having my ERR in "first" help at all?

Yes, it could be used as a tiebreaker for two people trying to go to and from the same facility.

Thanks. It will probably be a few years but having that in early might help then.

Has this actually happened with the new MOU? Would the NCEPT team choose the ERR that's been on file the longest if multiple people from the same facility wanted to go to the same facility? Thanks in advance.

If it came down to a tiebreaker
