It's Over (Finally)

So true! Most labor friendly administration ever and NATCA is going to impasse on the current negotiations! 😆
Guys there’s been a million examples in recent years of how gross and malicious (some) (certain) (specific individuals) in management really are so let’s take a step back and forecast how much worse those warlords would really be under trumps EOs. I hope for significant gains as well but shit can really be a lot worse if they empower their worst people.

no it it not sustainable.

What are your thoughts on where we can reduce the budget to make any kind of impact? id like to hear it.

I mean in line with this, it's pretty normal and shouldn't be. Annually $233 to $521 Billion in fraud alone.

I don't care for Rand Paul, but he pointed out $900 Billion in government waste alone for 2023

"Some of the highlights include the National Institutes of Health spending a portion of a $2.7 million grant to study Russian cats walking on a treadmill and Barbies used as proof of ID for receiving COVID Paycheck Protection Program funds. The Department of Defense ruined over $169 million worth of military equipment by leaving it outside, the United States Agency for International Development spent $6 million to promote tourism in Egypt, and the Small Business Administration gave ‘struggling’ music artists like Post Malone, Chris Brown, and Lil Wayne over $200 million."

At least we're supporting Posty.

Harvard, with its 45 billion dollar endowment, took 10s of millions in PPP loans and then fired all their hourly cafeteria and dining hall workers

I mean there are some FAA towers in some small questionably racist towns. I would say that was a legitimate question to ask the guy. Especially if the person he asked was one of the few black people that worked there.
Oh gimme a break. What you say is probably true to some extent or another, sure. But let’s face it, Jamal isn’t visiting any of those small fish facilities so why would that matter? If you aren’t at least a 10 you saw neither hide nor hair of him during the election. That dude pulls the race card like a gun in a western.

The original comment is literally about him at a small fish facility lol. So it sounds like your comment doesn't matter, let alone make any sense. He asked a legitimate question and it's pretty much impossible to prove it was not a legitimate question. Kind of sad that him asking that question upset people.

Lol, who said I was upset? All I’m saying is this is the very first I’ve heard on any forum of Jamal visiting any small facility that could potentially be in an area with embedded racism. Pretty sure they only hit larger facs to campaign which makes sense, they aren’t made of money and most BUEs are at the larger facs anyway so lows and mids aren’t worth their time.

Calm down, everyone. With Republicans in control of Executive, Legislative, and Judicial, we unionized federal employees will prosper like never before.
Unions....
Clearly it’s going to be somewhere in the middle of both of our sarcasm. Outside of our profession I hope our country can start winning for middle class people, idk if Trump is the answer for that but our profession is now very middle class.

It's going to be somewhere between paycuts, dress clothes, reduction in leave privileges (I.E, no 4 or 5 weeks off anymore)--- between that and everything stays the same and we don't get taxed on overtime.

It might've otherwise been between everything stays the same and things get quite a bit better.

The only thing I care about in there is pay cuts which I’ll believe it when I see it, hear that every election cycle. You want me to wear a dress shirt and slacks? That doesn’t bother me.

Look I’ve voted democrat since I’ve became a union member 15 years ago. This is the first year I voted for a republican for president, I didn’t vote for him in 16 or 20.

I’m at the point now where I know the union isn’t going to help me get pay raises. My quality of life was much better 5 years ago. Maybe Trump will fuck it up but I’m willing to take a chance at lowering my cost of living and buying a few extra dress shirts than wait for this union to get me real pay relevant to our work with an administration they’ve have 4 years to do it with. And I know they’re not even going to try under Trump.
