Nick is skipping a senate hearing to goto ATX in Vegas

This email is an absolute joke. Guys at Delta make $300k+ a year, working maybe 10 days a month. Then they get almost 20% 401k match, profit sharing, and bonuses. They also get to fly for free whenever they want on Standby.

What the fuck do we get? 6 Day Work weeks under threat of SL Letter, and 1.6% plus whatever the president decides to give us? And if you transfer that 1.6% goes away?

Delta Pilot: 20 Days off a month, up to $500K compensation.

FAA Controller: 4 Days off a month, and your reward for that is a mean 250-300k.

Fuck Nick Daniels. Glad he was able to get his shoutout to the 114's in before telling us we get paid enough! What kind of labor union sends an email to its members that they know are disgruntled, telling them they get paid enough? Its like they're actively trying to get anyone with a brain to leave the union. Does this guy really think the people at BUR, SJC, FRG, etc are living the same life as a pilot at Delta hired at the same time as them?

It’s fun when you realize these guys are getting legit wealthy on the back of our 6 day work weeks.

Good thing our union spends a shitload of money to host a conference for the industry in Vegas every year!!!

If I worked 6 day weeks, I wouldn’t break 200k. I’m not alone in that either. I’d sell my soul to the agency and work 6 day weeks if I could make 250-300k. Most of my problems would go away at that rate.
Packed standing room only circle jerk where apparently NATCA is counting locality and the Jan Fed Raise to show we got 0.3% more in raises than Delta, over the life of the entire fuckin Slate Book.

I see they're using some of that Common Core math or something. Would've been nice to keep those 3 step increases that dropped between getting here and certifying.

This guy hopefully just cost the union more dues. I really hope more people look at that and start to wonder what the union does. They sure don’t do anything about pay, work conditions, staffing, etc. Since 2021, not including housing increases (which I’m priced out of because of pay and increases) yearly inflation has been ~20%. At best, we’ve broke even the last few years when only considering the limited view of the consumer price index.

Everyone should really reconsider their status with the union. I know my mind is made especially after this stint.

I get where you’re coming from. But you don’t want to do that. That’s what they want you to think. This is the problem. Lot of the guys working 500+ OT a year making that kind of money, while it’s nice money wise, it’s not healthy or sustainable. We want to push to make that kind of money with no or little OT. Know your worth brother.

I completely agree with you. It’s not healthy or sustainable. I’m at the point where I’m working a second job so I can give my family the house I promised when I got into this career. The schedule sucks, working conditions suck and now pay is not anywhere close to keeping up with the costs of daily living.

I have almost no hope that the glorious union we fall under will get us a decent raise. I hope enough people leave the union next month to send a message.

Acting like quitting the Union is going to make the Agency want to pay you more is absolutely delusional. Some of you need to get a grip on reality. Acting like Union leadership doesn't want to get people more money is delusional. All I see and hear is bitching about how much people get paid, but not a single idea on what needs done to get us more.

Instead they're silent and it's more deafening than ever. Tell me we should be paid more and telling me why it can't happen or what obstacles are in front of us would be all it takes.

It's more collaboration and a presentation telling us we make enough at a conference paid for out of our dues.

Freedman is the “special counsel to the NATCA president.” He’s literally Nick’s NATCA lawyer. Nick 100% agrees with what was presented and it makes it clear that literally everything he said during the campaign about fighting for a raise was complete and total bullshit. All he cares about is continuing his scam career on dues-paying members’ backs.
