Nick is skipping a senate hearing to goto ATX in Vegas

Dumb question. Anyone in a union position who would rather put more effort into presentations telling us we are paid enough than fight for an actual raise. Anyone who is a dues paying member that bought off on that and thinks that’s acceptable behavior by their paid representatives. To be clear I was a facrep before did other work in NATCA committees. I’m not Anti-NATCA. I’m anti-this type of NATCA that I don’t recognize.

I just think its funny they tried to compare our pay to Delta, then realized thats a losing argument, and are now trying to pretend that its stupid to compare us to Delta, because they're private sector and we aren't.

The only thing you could take away from a comparison between us and major airline pilots in pay, benefits, and work life ( You know, the things a LABOR UNION is supposed to be advocating for), is that we've gotten completely left the fuck behind. Lapped multiple times, its not even close.

Again, these airline pilots are getting wealthy off the backs of our 6 day work weeks. Well, everyones 6 day work weeks except for all the Reps who have arranged to be on Details and other shit out of the facility.

Im starting to think NDJH think the OJTI bump from 20 to 25% is their big win. Thats it, folks. Sorry that any new controller placed below a 11 or 12 cant afford to buy a house, and also has no hope of ever transferring up to a higher level. We got 5% extra OJTI!

I think the funny thing they’re saying is to get us out of the pay cap would take years of lobbying Congress. Well…start lobbying Congress! We pay dues so the leaders of this union will work. We have a NATCA majority we keep hearing about so that should make it easier.

I heard there were some concessions with this pay bump as well that we haven’t seen yet but are coming. Like mandatory TOP.

We have have a union that absolutely REFUSES to advocate for a pay raise, or even publicly acknowledge the overwhelming consensus of the workforce that we are overworked and underpaid. There has been zero indication that they will fight for a substantial pay raise when the opportunity arises. They are, however, putting effort into gaslighting and insulting the workforce by using warped math as their justification that we are in fact well compensated. “Don’t believe your wallets or your real life experiences, you are doing extremely well and should be grateful.” This is also the same organization that seems to believe a 5% increase to OJTI pay, that affects part of the workforce part of the time, is some massive negotiation win.

Sure, maybe if the FAA waltzed in the door and offered a 40% pay raise out of the blue on their own accord NATCA wouldn’t be “anti raise,” but we all know that’s not going to happen. Actions speak louder than words and NATCA’s actions have shown time and time again they have no intention of truly fighting for a significant pay raise. We are going to be offered another extension of the slate book, or something extremely similar to it, and will be told it’s an amazing deal. Mark my words.

If a union isn’t advocating for a pay raise, they are effectively anti raise.

You’re one of the dumbest fucking morons on this site dude. Get your head out of your fucking ass.
You said the union is anti raise. It’s objectively a retarded post. You’re glasses are make believe. Just like when you lied and pretended to know NATCA wasn’t involved in the placement changes right up until the doc came out with Jamaal’s freaking signature on it. You’re clueless stop talking.

Collaborate me harder, Daddy.

“NATCA is anti raise”
Do you retards ever wonder why your voice gets ignored sometimes?
You can’t just say the dumbest shit anyone’s ever heard and then cry that people don’t take you seriously.
They literally paid a guy to make a presentation to purposely mislead members into thinking that we've gotten raises on par and better than airline pilots.

NATCA probably isn't anti raise but they definitely aren't proactively trying to get us a raise. And we would know if they were because Nick is all about being transparent after all

Also I must've missed what the significant raise they got for the light blue and purple books was

Come on, a one time payment of 1.5% for ratification is huge. It’ll be just enough to cover the increase in healthcare premiums for a couple months. They all should be grateful for this union. Don’t mind the continued 1.6% June “raise”.

/s for those that struggle.

You can afford a milkshake with your happy meal now! How can you complain?!

Acting like quitting the Union is going to make the Agency want to pay you more is absolutely delusional. Some of you need to get a grip on reality. Acting like Union leadership doesn't want to get people more money is delusional. All I see and hear is bitching about how much people get paid, but not a single idea on what needs done to get us more.
Acing like your dues are going to help you make more money or improve working conditions is absolutely delusional. Acting like this union cares about their workforce more than the booze fueled parties and non traffic working details is concerning.

For the record, I have an idea for a raise. It’s small, 1.4%, but realistically more than Goodman/Nick think we should get and more than they proved they’ll get with the light blue and purple books ratification.

1.4% additional invested into various retirement funds the rest of our careers is the best bang for the buck. It’s a drop in the bucket relative to what we should be getting but it’s the best we can do.
