Government Shutdown - March Edition

For as stupid as it was to change it, it's not NOT stupid to spend time changing it back. I mean unless we're getting so efficient that the extra 4 letters is considered government waste. I mean hell, that'd be efficient- go DOGE!

That it bothers people either way is proof we're pretty much all snowflakes... left or right.
Right, that's why he can't unilaterally dismantle the Congressionally-mandated USAID.

....wait a minute, that's exactly what he's doing.
Right? Like duh he isn't legally allowed to do it. But with one guy and some college kids controlling the money, they will act first and face consequences way later--if ever.

Realistically I wouldn't expect them to not give us backpay, but I would expect them to do what they can to eliminate the free leave. The peak of government ineffeciency is paying people to stay home. (Not to say I don't love and take advantage of every one of those opportunities, just is what it is).

Don’t they have a whole program to pay people to stay home for the next 8 months?

It should be easier to put the pressure on when the impending govt shut down is threatened. Now the public and everyone understands how understaffed and over worked we are… now hopefully they will understand we will do it without pay

When I read that, I’m reminded of the old SNL bit “Deep Thoughts by Jack Handy” except that Jack Handy’s thoughts were profound by comparison to that word salad vomit.
When the chairman introduced the guest speaker as a former illegal alien, I got up from my chair and yelled, "What's the matter, no jobs on Mars?" When no one laughed, I was real embarrassed. I don't think people should make you feel that way.

Jack Handey, Deep Thoughts…..

Seems about right.

The basic sentiment of the general public until it affects them.

I had a thought and a its just fleeting...but I've said the global elite reptilians won't give us a shutdown again.

I think they may try and force a shutdown to cripple the government once and for all. A long shutdown, the best, the longest.

Also big discussion on reddit about staying past 56. We need to hard oppose this, no mention of social security supplement that will be lost if this happens

Lose the social security supplement and lose good time and this wouldn’t be worth it.
