FAA to BP/ICE Transition

Has anyone successfully transitioned from the FAA to any roles in Department of Homeland Security / ICE / BP. The bonuses and telework opportunities appear attractive, and spending the rest of my career with the federal government in the FAA is becoming less and less desirable. Some jobs it looks like simply having a PIV card is a foot in the door. Anyone have any information on this or places i can read other than the job postings?

Look at their rules for pay. A friend looked at doing this after being high on the GS scale and they would have had to go to the new agency's equivalent of AG pay and work their way up from there same as a new hire.

Bruh, politics and whatnot aside, let’s be real for a minute.

9.5 outta 10 controllers could never pass the PT standards to become a Border Patrol Agent. Half of us get winded walking from the operation to the break room.
This guys not like most people. Plus they reduced the PT standards. You still couldn’t pass, but you only need to do things like 22 push ups, 38 sit ups, run 1.5 miles in 14:30 minutes, and sprint 180 yards in 48 seconds.

It’s definitely doable.
I mean, you really gotta be a fat piece of lard to not be able to pass that. I’ve also been exploring the idea. I been in contact with a recruiter.
The thing I haven’t figured out yet is how our “good time” works. Since they also get 1.7
Would that reset or continue? I haven’t asked yet, getting other things in order before I continue with applying

Speak for yourself! Sometimes that crackle on frequency isn't static, but fried chicken.
