Have you tried telling McIntosh the solution to all his staffing problems is to go from 10k CPCs to 8k CPCs?
They don't have to worry about that. According to the amount of ERRs in the system, hardly anyone wants to move anyway! Doubt we'd see anything more than a slight uptick in submissions if 32andBelow had their way. /s

Judging by the commentary here there’s at least one NCEPT rep on here…

Question for you: what’s going on with this “composite score”?

Just goes into a black box where fuckery happens. Every layer that’s added the more dumb it gets
Nope. The union gets some say on adding points with the ATM in case someone looks good on paper. Management can't really give official bad reviews but rep to rep is different. Why would be judged on just our skill and education when networking is so helpful

All open slots at facilities should be run on a bid. And if it’s hard to staff then they get move money or some other stipend. The answer is simple, but NCEPT was negotiated and therefore is better. Controllers are hard pressed to waste their time filing paperwork that means nothing other than a number on a spreadsheet for NATCA or the FAA to work off of. I get the idea behind it but some of these places are 10+ years before they’re able to release via this method.

Allowing bids on any open position, controller or supervisor, would make sure qualified candidates that want to be somewhere put their name in the hat, rather than the shotgun ERR approach NCEPT takes.
I been at my facility 9 years. Haven’t released anyone on NCEPT. And we ain’t releasing anyone in, easily the next 5 years. I been trying to get out since day one.

New timeline posted on NATCA site. Let me get this straight are they attempting to make it further more difficult to release now?

Haven’t joined yet bc someone told me you can still do err/ncept without joining. Realizing there’s a lot of info being missed out on though…
The ett is the ppt with some projected numbers out to a year. Everything else is the same.

So basically the November panel is cancelled? They said postponed but are changing the initial rules.
